Wings of Fire: The Official How to Draw Paperback – November 7, 2023

I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She enjoys drawing in it and it has kept her engaged for months.

I bought this for my niece! She absolutely loves it. It does a great job breaking down how to draw everything.

I have been on an off with drawing for over a decade but never really learned the basics to anatomy and shapes. This book has really helped a lot and I can't even believe I drew this. This is the 5th drawing in the book, Queen Coral and it's the first time I've done it digitally and to the full detail in the book, (minus the pearls on her neck and horns) only advice I can really give is take your time and don't worry about trying to get your drawing exactly like the book. Add your own flare to your drawing. I did with this one.Overall, great book. Only complaint is the final image after all the steps looks a little different. That can be a little frustrating but didn't bother me as much with digital then traditional. (Because it's easy to erase and redo it digitally) But that's a small complaint.

The book? Amazing. Directions? Fantastic. I’ve been drawing for all of my life and as a teen I’d say this is amazing. That being said- stop getting these for your 5 year olds if you’re expecting something easy, it’s not the author’s fault that you guys can’t do this. It’s amazing for a 10+ year old with experience in my opinion. Here’s a little test sketch that’s unfinished. I took mild artistic liberty.Anywho- the book came warped. Oh well. It’s nothing horrible I’ll put a dictionary on it, I’ll give them mercy because it’s snowy season here so maybe that’s it and I do love the book.

My kiddo is obsessed with Wings of Fire and also loves to draw and design her own characters, so she loves this book.She's been following each one on her tablet, and it's helped her get a better grasp of anatomy, which is showing in her steadily improving art style!

My daughter likes it but didn't like that it only shows you how to draw specific dragons instead of a tribe dragon for you to customize.

I gave this as a gift and the recipient loved it! He was able to make some really color dragon drawings with the book's help!
