This baby play mat is great!I love that it comes with 2 cute washable covers and it has several interactive items to hang above the mat.The mat is definitely soft, but I do wish it was just a bit thicker. Nevertheless it’s lightweight so I can easily move it from room to room.I didn’t see any assembly instructions with the playmat, but I figured it out pretty quickly. NOTE: later I looked at the listing on Amazon and saw that they had an instructional video that I highly recommend. It showed a much easier way to insert the mat into the covers. I wish I would’ve watched the video first!

What a great activity center for the baby! You get a playmat, arches and hanging toys that could be all used together or separately. The mat is soft, colorful and comfortable for the baby. The arches are soft and flexible, and come with toys to and encourage baby to reach for them. Included toys are great: they offer diferent textures and features to engage and develop baby's senses. I love that the toys could be switched around and used on their own (or attached to a car seat, high chair or crib).This baby gym is colrful, kid-fiendly, well-made and has lots of extras - well worth the asking price at the time of this review.It could use better packaging, though: right now it comes in a plain brown box and doesn't include any instructions, or even a proper label. While it's not a deal-breaker for me (I knew what I was getting), it makes this gym not very presentable. I wouldn't recommend this as a gift unless the packaging is improved.

This is a super cute play mat for a baby under 6 months old. It comes with a padded base which is probably not 1.2 inches but does offer some support on a harder floor. There are two different washable covers, one that has numbers so you can do a monthly photo of the baby. One toy has a circle cut out of it so you can circle the number for the corresponding month. That cover is mostly white, but the second cover has a lot of blues and yellows and greens, so a lot of visual interest for tummy time. The toys are really cute for baby to reach for, I especially like the stuffed elephant and lions. I really like the black and white side of the cloth book as well as the stark color difference really draws baby's attention. Easy to put together and pretty intuitive. The covers have slits in them that correspond to fabric loops on the pad so it's pretty easy to line everything up. Great gift for a new mom, although weirdly arrives in a plain brown unbranded box.

My new baby loves tummy time. She is constantly rolling over and nearly hurting herself, so I wanted to get a play mat with a bit more heft. I did find it confusing that the photos of the product that other customers got were not the same as the one I received, but I chalked it up to a glitch in the system. So keep in mind, what you see in the product photos is what you get so keep that in mind, and take that into account when looking at what other people say about this mat.As far as quality goes, it is on the lower side in my opinion because there is not enough padding to really be safe having this on hardwood floors. It is much better on a carpet or rug so that there is extra support for your baby if they roll over with too much force. In fact, the play mat becomes cumbersome to use at a certain point. More often than not, it is tucked away in the corner of my house while I use the Graco Pack and Play + mobile and a bigger foam pad instead of this play mat. So the fact it receives almost no use makes it pretty worthless in my mind.There are a few features that make this worthwhile, though. For one, it is much more portable than a Graco Pack and Play, and it comes with two covers than you can switch out and wash. The rods are pretty simple to install and seem to hold their shape, but they also slide around very easily so the whole thing just slumps after some use.Overall, I would say this is an average product, certainly not worth the high price, and made to look much larger than it actually is. I wish that for the price, more toys were included, so if this were cheaper it would be very worthwhile to buy this. For now though, I think I will stick to the Graco and the larger play mat I have, and maybe give this away.
