Good for dusting pet food with supplements or flavor enhancers.
I purchased these so that I could apply a thin, even coating of a flavor enhancer to a prescription diet food for my 18 year old cat. He has advanced chronic kidney disease but refuses to eat most kidney diets (I've tried many, wet and dry, including home made). He only tolerates the ProPlan dry kibble kidney diet. He doesn't love it, but he will eventually (reluctantly) eat it.To make it more palatable, I sprinkle a little freeze dried chicken (Stella & Chewy's Marie's Magical Dinner Dust) over the kibble. He loves the smell and taste of the chicken sprinkles and I can shake a little evenly over his food without adding too much protein that can harm his kidneys. These little shakers are perfect for this. I'm sure they'd be lovely for grated cheese or seasonings as well. Maybe also for use in the home or garden for shaking out powdered fertilizers, etc.I haven't seen any rust and the shakers clean up nicely. The hole size is sufficient so that most of the chicken particles get through, although a few get stuck - the particles aren't really powder or dust, more like the consistency of grated cheese. The plastic cap on top is perfect for preserving freshness and keeping out moisture and unwanted "critters", although I'm not sure how long the plastic will last over time.

Great Shaker—Perfect for Pizza Night!
I picked up this CUSINIUM metal parmesan cheese shaker mainly for our pizza nights at home, and it’s been awesome. I actually bought a large chunk of fresh parmesan, grated it myself, and filled the container with it—worked perfectly! The large holes make it super easy to shake out the cheese without any clogging, and it really gives you that classic pizzeria feel. The size is just right—not too big, not too small—and the handle makes it easy to use and pass around. The metal design looks great on the table and feels sturdy, so I’m sure it’ll last a long time.

These are very nice and look like good quality! Just what I was looking for. I love the fact that it comes with a top.

Correct for me!
I bought this for the coarse top size. I recently cooked (for me) a giant amount of pork ribs and used a dry rub instead of marinating. While using the rub on 45 pounds of cut up ribs I decided that I would like to shake it on. I haven't done it yet, but these are the right volume and the right opening and well constructed for the price

Useful for homemade shaker blends
Love the tight fitting top cover, which allows storage in the fridge

Tall, easy off lids, large handles and heavy pours!
Excellent! They are tall and look wonderful on my stove shelf. Definitely do not need to shake for a good douse in the pot! lol. Love the handles and the fact that the little plastic tops keep the “closed up”. I also bought some for my dad. The ones he found were tiny! These are awesome!

Smaller than 10 oz and smaller than 14oz
Very disappointed in these shakers, my 12oz glass and 12oz plastic glass shakers hold about 2 ounces more than the metal shakers, even the holes are smaller than the large holes on the shakers I already have that the red pepper flakes don't go through

Solid construction, easy to use, wide enough for larger pieces of spices and seasoning.
I read a couple reviews on these and other (very similar) shakers. I use this for some steak and and BBQ blends. Yes the holes are big enough for chili flake to fall through and no I haven't had any issues with the canister splitting. I'm not sure how that is happening to folks purchasing these or similar shakers. I'll definitely be buying more of these in the future.
