Challenging and fun
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it! He's done other Piececool items but loves this since he loves Japanese things and anime. It takes time, patience and good vision to work with such small pieces.

Excellent kit
I do a lot of these models and this might be the best looking one I've done. The design/finish is lovely (although the coating makes fitting tabs a bit tough at times), the build is challenging but do-able, and the final product is display-worthy.

very tedious.
Not a difficult build, but very tedious.Ttheir were about 150 extremely small pieces of one particular item that had to be folded several times. I could only do 10 or 20 pieces a day to keep from getting a headache. The instructions were good, very easy to lollow. Happy with the end result

Enjoyable build
I have built over 250 models and have always liked the challenge they present. This model was didn't let me down. This one has 486 pieces on seven sheets of metal. Two hundred and six were all of the same identical part that required seven bends to form the detail and that became somewhat tedious. This model took me just short of 32 hours to complete, but I admit that it takes me longer than most. I enjoy the building of the models and don't rush to complete. For most of the parts I even take the time to grind off the little piece of metal left after cutting them off the sheet.Piececool has come a long way with their improvements to the quality of the metal and especially the quality if the paint and metal coatings. I had zero problems with broken parts of paint chipping off. When I first starting build metal models, it wasn't unusual to have a part break if you had to rebend it more than once. Then, very few models were painted and if they were, the paint would chip off when you had to make a bend. For this model they rated the difficulty of 4 out of 7 stars but if I had to rate it, I would have given it at least a 5 or even 6 out of 7 stars. I would not recommend this one for a beginner.

Too much paint preventing tabs from being inserted
Ive made over 50 models, but this is the first I am just giving up on, and almost immediately. Theres around 200 small pieces all with way too much paint on them and the tabs that prevent them from being inserted. Its just not worth the struggle the have to scrape paint off hundreds of tabs. Ive made many painted models before but none had such a thick coat on them that prevented tab insertion like this one does.

Don't bother
More frustrating than fun. The metal is super easy to break pieces when trying to build. This stopped me from trying to build the model.

Not bad, but the paint chips easily
I love 3D puzzles. These metal ones are usually a great way to spend time. This one was a bit frustrating though. For starters, this may have more pieces than any metal puzzle I’ve assembled in the past. Not a bad thing, but it does lead to a lot of tedium. The pieces in this set don’t come off their base as easily as some other, so nippers were a must. This takes additional time with a lot of small pieces for around the base. My other issue is the paint itself scrapes off easily. With some pieces, the paint protrudes onto the tab that needs to be inserted elsewhere, and makes it so it doesn’t insert easily. Once in place, twisting the tab releases the paint, which flakes all over the place. It isn’t a lot, but noticeable with so many small painted pieces. Still, the final result is awesome looking, so if you can get past these issues, I can definitely recommend this kit.
