This adapter works great with one small flaw…….
This Dewalt adapter works great with my recently purchased Dyson V8 on 9/28/24 from Home Depot. The only flaw with the adapter was that the two screws near the canister that held the OEM battery and the same screws that also partly hold the adapter in place are too long for the adapter. The screws bottom out leaving about a 2mm gap. This wasn’t a big deal because I went to Ace Hardware and I found some tiny washers to make up the gap. I put five washers on each screw and that did the trick. I thought screws were supposed to come with this adapter but mine didn’t. Not a big deal because the washers from Ace Hardware did the trick. I’m using 4AH DeWalt batteries with my V8 and it runs a good while. Hopefully this adapter lasts a long time.

Works great!
Bought this to replace the battery that came with my Dyson vacuum! It fits the dewalt battery and lasts forever!! I’m so glad I made this switch!!

It works but cuts out in high-power mode
It's a great idea and allows me to vacuum without worrying about battery whenever I need it. I noticed that Dyson V7 does stop when moved rapidly in high power mode, which didn't happen with native battery. Not a big deal, plenty of suction in normal mode. I bought a two-pack off-brand battery set and a charger, all cheaper than a weakling replacement battery from Dyson.

Fantastic upgrade!
After replacing the battery once on our Dyson vacuum and facing having to do so again I found this. It’s super easy to install and we use a dedicated Dewalt 20v Max 5ah battery for it. Only issue is with or without a battery installed the vacuum doesn’t sit level when not in use, but it will still sit upright. The 5ah pack gives the vacuum about 45 min of run time in standard and 20-25 in turbo.

Works perfect.
Perfect fit. Take out the 3 screws of your existing battery, pull the old battery out, insert this adapter, install the 3 screws and you're good to go.

We couldn’t find satisfactory replacement batteries for our Dyson V6 (I know - very old). But this allows me to adapt batteries I already have to use the Dyson again.

It works great!
Even the cheap knock off DeWalt batteries seem to last a very long time compared to the factory battery that went bad after about a year
