I had high expectations for the RP46074 Shower Valve Cartridge, but unfortunately, it fell short in various aspects. The installation process was unexpectedly challenging due to confusing instructions, turning what should have been a simple task into a time-consuming ordeal.After overcoming the installation hurdles, I was let down by the weak water pressure and the difficulty in regulating the temperature accurately. It felt more like a frustrating guessing game rather than a relaxing shower experience.While the material appeared durable, the overall performance did not meet my expectations, especially considering the price point. Although there were some positives, the lackluster functionality makes it hard for me to recommend this product to those seeking a hassle-free shower solution.

I was optimistic when I purchased this product, believing it was the perfect match for my bathtub handle cartridge replacement project. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration upon encountering a series of unexpected challenges. The old cartridge was stubbornly stuck, plagued by stubborn calcium deposits. Despite my best efforts to dislodge and clean it, the new part simply refused to cooperate, refusing to fit into place.Desperate for a solution, I turned to Home Depot for assistance. There, I learned a valuable lesson about subtle differences in seemingly identical parts. With their guidance, I was able to find a cartridge bearing the same part number but with crucial variances that enabled a seamless and swift installation at home.It appears that the initial product may have been a non-OEM remanufactured item, explaining the frustrating compatibility issue. In light of these challenges, I have taken steps to return the product through Amazon in hopes of finding a more suitable replacement.
