a fantastic deal. These boots are very nice
I bought these boots from amazon at a bargain for $65, a fantastic deal. These boots are very nice, quality construction and materials. The fit is spot on and surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. If the black color goes on sale, i'd definitely buy another pair in that color, too.I would like to add that the brown color of the stock photos on amazon is off. The color of my boots are a medium brown and do not have the reddish tone that the amazon pictures have. I prefer the basic brown color over the reddish brown color seen in the stock photo so I won't reflect this negatively in my review. These boots really hit that sweet spot of a casual everyday boot in style, comfort and functionality. Not too dressy and not too casual, you can wear them with jeans or slacks. Not too bulky and heavy or flimsy and light, they offer the perfect amount of support and stability. The rubber sole with the light traction allows me to wear them in the rain, snow or ice.

Nice boot, the best I've bought but I have ...
Nice boot, so far its my favorite pair and I also have a pair of clarks desert boots and iron rangers (though not fully broken in yet.) I was unsure of sizing, and decided that these would likely fit the same way a wolverine 1000 mile would fit. So I decided to go a half size down from my normal shoe size. I am a 7.5 in brannock sizing and went with that, so true to brannock. They were a little tight at first but after the second wearing they no longer felt tight and became the most comfortable pair of boots I own. They feel comfortably snug and the leather is so soft and supple it feels great. Takes very little break in.My only gripe is that the insole is glued on, and when it arrived the sole was only barely hanging on. It was this way with 3 pairs of these kilometer boots. Hope they hold up. Other than that they are great.

Elegant looking shoes, cheap construction.
Despite being made in the USA and inspected by a human who signed the quality control slip by hand, the first shoe I removed from this package has a loose eyelet which immediately fell out before use. Can't even lace them up. Not sure how they missed that. I am waiting for a replacement and will update this review if the new ones are not also defective. My last pair of wolverine work boots has lasted me over six years at only half the price of these, still going strong. I really hope I can wear these elegant boots without worrying about the eyelets falling out on me.

Riddled with flaws after regular use
Boots fit fine after the four week break-in period, but had to initially return a pair and order one size smaller than expected. By the time all the problems with these started becoming noticeable, it was too late to return them.-The exterior scuffs extremely easily, making it almost pointless to clean them.-Round cord laces come undone halfway through the day.-Heel area is made of smooth leather, which means after a few months they SQUEAK with every step unless you apply and replace athletic tape on the area two to three times a day. Powder does nothing.-Toe area is also smooth leather, which means moving your toes produces more SQUEAKING. Foot powder will fix this for 30 minutes, after that the SQUEAKING returns.-Zero arch support, and zero room for insoles thicker than 1/16" unless you're okay with barely tightening your laces. I had to salvage the paper-thin insoles from a pair of sneakers in order to mostly fix the toe SQUEAKING problem.-The cut of the upper pieces is oddly shaped where fully tightening them will leave a fat portion of the tongue visible, and you'll get cramps from how binding it will be on your ankle.

Good, but understand they are factory seconds, at best
I have been wanting a pair of these for a long time, had done my research, and was apprehensive when I found these significantly cheaper than I had anywhere else. I had looked at the factory seconds listed on other sites and decided that they looked great even with some defects, was only able to find my size here, so rolled the dice. Found the stitching error right away when I first got them, but kind of figured that was the situation I would find at the price. IT wasn't a large area, and it seemed that the stitching was doubled more than missing completely, hence more cosmetic than durability damage. I could live with that. The quick hook coming off after the 3rd day was more disappointing. I have leather working equipment so I can put a replacement eyelet (instead of another speed hook) in, but I wasn't expecting that after only 3 days. The sole is great. The leather matches the others that I have handled in physical store locations. They broke in nice after 3 days of wear, and I have gotten plenty of compliments on their look, just disappointed in the durability. I had high hopes after long history of wearing Wolverine boots on the factory floor, but now I am uncertain of their casual dress boots that I wanted for my promotion to the office setting.I will put in the eyelet and update everyone on the long term wear and tear.

Great looking boots. Easily scuffed/creased
Overall, good quality shoe. Got it on sale to try out my first pair of Wolverines; Owned a pair of Red Wings for 4 years prior to these. Did some research and read the reviews so I sized down half a size (usually wear 8.5 in boots and 9 in sneakers, went down to 8 in these) and they fit perfectly with some room in the toe but snug everywhere else; They are definitely going to need some breaking into. Sole is Vibram as depicted in the product pictures. My pair are in light brown colorway so it seems like the leather is more dry/prone to scuffing (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). My biggest qualm is that this product claims to have been checked by somebody "to insure that it meets our high quality standards" but they missed something in my pair. They place a half of Leather insole inside and glue it in place but my left shoe's was not glued in properly. Whenever I take my foot out, I feel the loose insole flap follow. It will be a handful of wears before it comes out completely and from some reviews I've read, the shoes will be hard to stand in all day so the lack of cushioning will be an issue. I am requesting an exchange
