We were very surprised by the poor quality
Wow! The fitting that attaches to the faucet came with an adapter for standard outdoor faucets which are installed all across the USA. That adapter, however, was the weakest link in the quality of the overall item. The threaded portion of this adapter was only about 1/2 of the length needed to screw onto the faucet and screw into the Gardena unit so that the Gardena unit could do its job effectively, leak-free, and with stability.We purchased this unit to pair with a smart valve for watering the lawn in our backyard. Because of the poor adapter quality (threads would have stripped easily if we had cranked it) and because of the shortness of the threaded area of the adapter, the unit would never be able to attach well to the outdoor faucet. As a result, this unit now spends its time on a shelf in our garage waiting for a better adapter.This was our worst experience with Gardena products. The rest of our Gardena products have exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend them. We hope this story helps you.

One cheap adapter spoiled an otherwise nice piece of equipment.
Seems like a very nice piece, but the adapter that fits it to the tap in the wall is a cheap but if plastic and is threaded, so won’t fit right, and leaks. I emailed Gardena in Canada, and they said they’d send me that one piece, but I’m still waiting.

Wrong Adapter For U.S. Market
The adapter that comes with this is NOT for the standard, 3/4" male hose thread commonly used in the U.S. The packaging indicates it's for "G 3/4" - 26.5mm thread", presumably what hose faucets in Europe have.

THIS ITEM WILL NOT WORK WITH GHT. IT'S A EUROPEAN THREAD. DO NOT BUY IF YOU LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY UNLESS YOU WANT THINGS TO LEAK A LOT
