Worked perfectly once we discovered that there were two different heads for the grommets. Instructions are rather poor. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. I noted a 1 star review that said it didn't lock the grommets. I suspect that, like us, they didn't find two heads.

I want to use this once on a tarp but it works very well. The tool itself seems to be very well made and the grommets provided are a good quality.

Works great....until the top starts to get worn out. The grommets that come with the product are pretty cheap so just be mindful of that. This is product that will get the job done but not a permanent solution.

Any defects in performance are related to user error, to wit, trying to grommet material that is too thick, it doesn’t reach through the other side. Also, you don’t have to squeeze the crap out of it. That also damages the grommet just give it a nice hard squeeze. I am glad with my purchase, the applicator is a very high-quality piece of equipment.

We used it in a banner without reinforced edges, for reference. We did all 3 of the groomers pretty easily. I had to have my husband squeeze one for me though. I would recommend making the hole first, either with the provided punch or as an X with scissors, to prevent thinking around the grommet as it goes through and pulls the material.Otherwise very happy with my purchase!!
