Simple and Easy - no BS!
Why on earth was I waiting for my solicitor to draft up my will for 3 months charging me a fortune which was half done and never refunded! About time someone brought out a DIY kit. Fraction of the cost and and time! I only wish I’d known before parting with my well earned money I could have contributed towards my will! Ah well you live and learn!

For straightforward will writing
Sounded good, just do it all on the pages and upload. This doesnt come in a box. It is some templates, advice and a link to the online will keeping app which you get access to for one year. The app is a free download. The forms are quite well laid out and one can use it to draft a fairly basic will. There is a place to name special gifts and recipients apart from the main estate. You have the usual declaration e.g. who you are ,when born , where you reside, who your dependents are. There is a place to put your executor's info and appoint a guardian for children if needs be. A page allows you to detail funeral preferences . You can outline your life and leave a written message for those who will hear the will read. You are given short advice paragraphs with examples for how to ask an executor and witnesses to agree to be appointed. The app allows the storage of relevant documents. You can access it from the apple store or the google play store or scan the QR . You will need to input your phone number to get access to the features despite that it gives you a password on the folder you are sent. I found this very irritating as I don't want my phone number input into an app I haven't even got to use yet. You can give others access to your will using it and there is a page in the kit to keep their passwords safe A messaging section allows the sharers to contact, if things change that are relevant. There's a place on it to put photographs or video of the special gifts you want to leave . You can change the will after uploading it for no extra cost. There is a statement on the folder stating that will box does not provide legal services or insurances. They are just a template service and somewhere to keep the completed documents. The advice given is basic and any extra conditions you wish to cover would need to be looked over by a qualified legal person My opinion is that the completed documents would be legally binding if worded correctly and no possible level of ambiguity is implied. As far as the app goes, I can see nothing about what happens after your first free year of use. Really the app is mainly a storage of online bits and pieces pertaining to the will so that you and others may get to it more easily, should the app not be ongoing after a year, the paper documents should still be valid if properly signed and witnessed. If you are wanting to bequeath to certain people and know that its all going to be straightforward then this is quite a good way to do it. If there is any chance at all that anyone would contest the will, then you will be better off with a lawyer in my opinion. This would include children not all from one partner, a business to leave, shared property .. In reality you still need an executor/s and a witness so if that is the reason you haven't written a will yet, its still a requirement.

Disappointed
Not fit for purpose, room for only 2 beneficiaries, silly suggestions on how to ask people to care for your children , felt more American than I expected as it was the mention of uk post office on Amazon that made me purchase ,,, throwing in the bin
