Great for holding moisture and potted plants.

I add this to every thing I'm planting or transplanting.Prevents even the best types of soil from binding up and preventing drainage. Easier for young roots to begin to establish easier.

Much smaller granules than Pearlite, more or less the size of quinoa.It does increase the moisture capacity of potting soil, though. Not as much as Pearlite.I personally like this stuff because it doesn't make the potting soil unsubstantial, the soil will hold up a plant.

The vermiculite is shrink wrapped, so when you get it, you should be warned and be ready for the actual amount in volume. I shook it into another bag and there was no spillage or waste. The product works great, as expected. It is extremely fine, almost a powder, and you will find you need only a little per plant.

The product probably works great. The 3 stars ae for delivery, the vermiculite is pressed flat in the package. Very hard pressed flat. Its not loose like in the picture. I have to break it apart, and its a pain in the @$$

I used this to make my own garden soil. It really helped to have the most rich soil for plants in raised garden bed. Recommend!
