Very good DAC
Excellent size, very tiny but powerfull enough to drive my Beyerdynamic DT770 LE without problem. Clear sound and balanced!

Great DAC.
Drives my Senheiser HD650 through my samsung S22 amazingly. It says 32 ohms, but the HD650 is 300 ohms and its pretty loud enough for me..

Just no. Yes it decodes high bitrates but the sound was not great.
I honestly don’t believe this thing sounded better than the default Apple one.

Although I returned it, it's a top notch product for the price!
Background about me: I have only had one dac/amp for years which is the dacmagic xs, but I have had many headphones throughout the years ranging between $70 and $1200 including some sennheisers, beyerdynamics, Audio technicas, Klipsch, Fidelios, the list goes on.. My current favorite IEM is the sennheiser ie300, and those are the ones I need a dac/ amp for. I landed on this one albeit without a significant research due to its low cost, and the fact that it renders MQA was very attractive since I listen to MQA on Tidal through UAPP. The Hiby fc3 surprised me with how well made it is, I wasn't expecting this level of quality for the price. Listening to it was a big surprise too. The sound is very clean with lots of air (I lOVE this), I sometimes heard details for the first time on songs I listen to almost everyday which is insane. If you gave the hiby fc3 to me to test and blindly give it a price tag, I would price it at $80, so for half of that it's actually a great buy. So this begs the question, why did I return it if it really was that great? Well, it just so happens that what I love most in audio is the downsides of this little great dac and that is the soundstage and tonality of vocals. I felt the fc3 limited the soundstage of the ie300s quite a lot and made the vocals sound unnatural and less present, you would unfortunately notice a drop of quality of vocals even coming from a smartphone or a tablet headphone jack, which is unacceptable for me. The ie300 are very revealing so you might not have these problems with less revealing gear, but for me I couldn't live with those downsides. The soundstage was limited and for me soundstage has to be massive to enjoy music, anything less than that won't get much use from me. I feel for me to find a dac amp thats this good but with better soundstage and tonality, I'd have to part with $150 at least (Update: I ended up buying the ibasso dc04 pro and holy smokes, that thing was made in heaven), which says volumes about how a great deal this dac is. Another problem is that the dac doesn't remember the volume you set it at so by default it'll start at maximum when you plug it in, which can result in some unwelcome surprises (really unacceptable). So, do I recommend it? the answer is yes if you are not going to be using it with an expensive headphones, but please be careful enough to dial the volume down every time you plug it in, protect your ears, if you know you would forget to do that sometimes (I know I would), then this thing isn't for you.
