GMW101B Limited Edition 10-Sheet Limited Edition High Security Microcut Paper Shredder

This is the only white shredded I could find that was compact and looked good. 4 sheets is the perfect amount in my opinion. I would not try maximum of 10 because I'm scared to jam it up and I am sure it will get worn out faster. However it shreds so fast I don't mind only shredding 4 pages at a time. It's also not very noisy and the micro cut is awesome because I plan on using them as padding for packages that I send out. It's the perfect size and not as hard to deal with as shredded strips. I'm really loving it!UPDATE: Even if I only shred 4 pages at a time, something got stuck and now it's not working anymore. Was not used very much so I'm deeply disappointed. I brought it home to Manila so there is no way for me to have it fixed or to send it back. Paper gets cought up on top and it's impossible to open without special tools so it's going to go to recycling. What a waste of money.I only removed one star because I don't feel confident it can really shred 10 pages as easily as it does 4 or 5. it tends to stop and then I have to reverse and forward again - not so smooth.But because of the looks (perfect for my all white office), compact size and micro cut, I can't find a better shredded. I was also able to catch it when it was on discount. YAY!

This is one great paper shredder. A great design and size and it cuts papers and documents into micro size pieces. The noise level is acceptable without being too loud. The cutter is made with all metal pieces, (I've checked the underneath) and the function and design is perfect for light shredding. Most of the lower rating stems from longevity of this shredder and I've only had it for about a week, so I can't comment on that part. But the appearance of it, the shredder seems solid to me. As for now, I am completely satisfied with this piece.

The shredder arrived to my home well packaged. It was inside its own box within the shipping box. The majority of the weight is in the removable shredder top. It came with the promised lubricated shredder sheet pack. There was even a "Thank You" note from the company, which included their customer service number, in case you needed to call them.There are warning stickers on the shredder top as to what not to do with the shredder. If you use the shredder in a continuous manner, the shredder will turn off, so it will not overheat. I can attest to that one, because it happened on my very first day of use. I was able to shred for about 10-15 minutes when suddenly, the machine turned off. I was shocked that it happened so quickly and the lid was not even very warm. It took about 30 minutes before I was able to resume my shredding. There is another sticker warning you about paper jams, which is the next thing that happened to me. I placed "3" sheets of computer paper into the shredder, and it jammed up on me. So, I slid the power bar to the "Reverse" position but the green power light did not turn on. I then slid it back to the "On" position, and still no power. I tried removing the paper from the front side, but the paper would not come out. I then took off the lid and looked at the underneath side. I removed bits of paper, which I thought might help to remove the jam; but no change.At this point, I called the company but found out that they are only available Monday-Friday. So, I then went to their website and looked at what to do regarding paper jams, and what they suggested, I had already tried. So, I thought, I would have to just wait until Monday before finding a solution for the paper jam. Hours later, I went back to the shredder, and low and behold, the power light came back on, and the stuck paper was able to be shredded. Whether it just needed time to rest or it was the prayers I prayed that caused it to work again, I could not say for sure. Despite these problems, I will continue to use the shredder because these issues are not unique to this machine but have happened with all of the shredders I have ever owned, both expensive ones to lesser priced ones, such as this machine.

It is a good shredder. It only gets three stars for two reasons - it is not on wheels so I have to pick it up to move when I clean instead of pushing it out of the way and the other reason is because I cannot just pull the basket out to empty - I have to lift the shredder off the top to empty the basket.

Worked fine for couple of hours but when it stopped I thought it was just jammed. I mistakenly took it apart voiding the warranty and found out one of the plastic gears ( don't know why plastic ) teeth had broken, therefore it stopped working. It is now in some landfill somewhere.

I purchased this shredder because it was so hard to find a white one. It broke in less than a year - even though I rarely used it. I tried to fix it myself, fed it lubricant sheets, added the shredding oil - nothing. I contacted the manufacturer and after back and forth.. they finally replaced it. The replacement broke in less than 6 months. Totally not usable. It's a shame they can't make a reliable product because there's so few white paper shredders. However, the aesthetics aren't even worth it. I'd rather get a standard industrial/office looking shredder than having to deal with this.

This is used in our home, and we don't shred paper constantly, mostly mail, old bills, old credit cards, and things like that. But this unit replaced an old strip shredder, and for us, this is a MAJOR upgrade. The microcut is not only more secure, but it keeps the bin from filling up as fast too. I also really like the look of this shredder, it's not black and bulky like most of them so it doesn't clash with all of our decor. I've had this for about 4 months now and I've never had issues with overheating like some other reviewers have, but I can't speak for very heavy use. For our needs it's great!
