Great keyboard!
I am really happy with this instrument, and surprised at the quality of the sound and the price. I've always liked Yamaha products, motorcycles, tuner/amplifiers, guitars, and now keyboards. It's been awhile since I've bought anything, so was a little concerned whether the quality was still there. I'm happy to say the quality is still there! This device has many diff sounds and options, but all I really wanted was a piano type keyboard, and this one fits the bill. The keys are full size, the touch is fine, and it really sounds like a piano. I fiddled with a cpl other optional sounds, guitar, voice (chorale, really pretty), I guess Grand Piano is the default. I'm not an expert, I can't address what qualities make a good piano good, but for my beginning needs and questionable talent this keyboard is just right. It's light enough that I can move it around, set it on a coffee table ( it has soft pads, won't scratch anything) or whatever; just plug it in and play. 61(full size) keys is plenty for me, and makes the size good for serious work while still being portable. Tones gradually fade if you keep the keys depressed, like a piano, or stop abruptly if you raise up your fingers. I believe a Sustain pedal is available, plus a stand if you need one (I don't). I haven't hooked it up to any other devices, spkrs or whatever, but the sound from the instrument is better than I expected and all I need for now...and plenty loud enough; I just had it on about 1/4 volume. I bought it to replace a Casio I had yrs ago, and every thing about this keyboard is better than my old Casio, and $50 less in price(the Casio did have a stand, and no complaints). It may not be a professional type electric piano, but it's def not a toy. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Great keyboard!
Bought this for my husband for Christmas because he wanted to learn to play. I had a keyboard when I was younger and it was like carrying weights when you picked it up. It was sooooo heavy. When this was delivered I went to my porch and squated ready for the weight of this thing. I even grunted picking it up as my kids looked on through our screen door only to find out this thing is lighter then my 4 year old. Honestly the box is the same weight as the keyboard. That was the first plus. Next was the sound. Does this have superior sound like some keyboards that are hundreds or thousands of dollars but it’s still a very crisp and clear sound. My husband also had a blast going through all the sounds and beats that come on it. We did order a foot peddle and stand separately. Bottom line if you’re on the fence climb down and buy this. Excellent price, product, quality.

Good for a beginner, or a not-so beginner
I've really enjoyed relearning to play piano with this keyboard. It's relatively inexpensive but packed with features, voices, rhythms and lots of helpful extras. I've been at it for four weeks, and still feel like I've only scratched the surface of what this instrument can do. The instructions could be a bit more detailed, but the user interface is designed well enough that I'm able to figure out things as I go along. Very happy with my choice. Plus it's light and compact for easy storage and transport.

Great Starter Piano
Bought this bc I moved out and missed my moms piano! Def not the same but a great stand in until I decide I am dedicated enough to purchase a higher end keyboard. The keys are non weighted so it’s really different in that aspect and you can’t soften your playing for music scores accordingly. I love that it has a metronome and tons of different sound options! It’s so fun to mess around on! The demo songs are silly and probably more fun to kids. The manual it comes with is super in depth and helpful. Overall a really great purchase and has brought me lots of joy as a mediocre player :)

Best Keyboard for Beginers
1. Easily the best option for kids to start with2. It comes with power adapter and a note stand3. We bought this after a ton of research and used for a year definitely we could recommend this as one of the best digital keyboard in its range.4. There are tons of options which we did not explore but few which we are using are listed below,5. It works with battery, very light weight and so durable to move around.6. We can connect phones to keyboard for songs or connect keyboard to external speakers or PA systems.7. It also support sustain pedals8. Lots of different sound presets like grand piano, flute, 100s of other sounds which kids enjoy playing around.9. Definitely not just for beginners they can continue using this to the intermediate level as well.10. Built, keys are not give a cheap look and feel.

Good beginner keyboard
This keyboard is good for beginner piano players or for kids to have fun with. At least to start out with it has enough keys to learn and practice until one is ready to buy an expensive instrument. Has lots of features such as recording and sound effects that would make it fun for kids. I am using it to learn the basics of piano and with the headset jack I don't disturb everyone else with constant plinking. The keys are not velocity keys nor weighted they make one sound when touched. It does not sound tinny and can play kind of loud. I am happy with it especially for the price it is a good bargain.

Compact, realistic, quality practice piano
This is a compact, realistic, quality practice piano. I'd studied piano many years ago, reaching intermediate level, but gave up practicing because of time and noise limitations. I now have time. And the excellent headphones eliminate any noise concerns. With the Grand Piano function this sounds realistic, much like my old spinet. The action of the keys - though not weighted - feel like real piano keys and are the same size. I bought this to bring my former skills up to speed again. Eventually I will probably opt for a full 88-key Yamaha with weighted keys. The various voices can add variety but I use the instrument solely as a piano. It's lightweight, can be stored under a bed or in a closet. I'm very pleased with the tone, pitch, and full sized keys. For a starter piano, this is excellent and Yamaha is a name you can trust. For Amazon's price you can't beat this considering its superior quality.
