So flippin' cute and does the job!
I love OTOTO brand, and this little vampire does not disappoint. He adds a little whimsy to my life when I'm cooking in the kitchen - and who can't use that? It works really well for crushing garlic, though I can't speak to the ability to chop much else as that's really all I use it for. Really easy to clean - I just throw it in the dishwasher and haven't had any issues. Doesn't hold onto any of the garlic smell either, which is great. He's easy to find in my drawer of other utensils. Overall, he's just so darn fun - I have never been disappointed in the quality or function of this brand - I hope they continue to turn out additional items to fill my life with fun and functionality :)

Fantastic for Mincing Fresh Garlic
What a great little kitchen tool for mincing garlic! It's so easy to use and very easy to clean. The more you twist, the finer the mince. I'm throwing my old garlic press away. It's cute enough to keep on my kitchen counter rather than tucking into a cabinet or into a drawer. I would definitely recommend. (Now I need the Dracula garlic peeler companion piece.)

Nice alternative to traditional garlic presses.
Count Garlic-a is very cute and makes a fun casual hostess gift. It works relatively well by just twisting the cap back and forth. The garlic comes out somewhat shredded rather than chopped, but it's fine (and fast) for cooking dishes where the garlic is not prominently featured. The cleaning is very easy, particularly when compared to traditional garlic presses.

From Gag to One of the Most Used Utensils
The OTOTO Gracula Garlic Crusher quickly went from a novelty item to one of the most frequently used utensils in our kitchen. It’s not only functional but also a great conversation starter and a fun way to get the kids involved in the kitchen. The Pros:Versatile Use: While primarily a garlic crusher, Gracula can also be used for ginger, nuts, chili, and herbs, making it a multi-functional tool in the kitchen.Fun Design: The whimsical vampire design is a hit, sparking conversations and bringing a smile to everyone’s face.Kid-Friendly: It has inspired our little ones to participate in cooking. They love using it to crush garlic and other ingredients, making them more interested in the food we prepare together.Easy to Use: The twist top mincer and easy squeeze manual press make it simple to use, even for small hands.Durable: Made from sturdy materials, it stands up to regular use without any issues. The Cons:Limited Capacity: It works best with smaller amounts of garlic or other ingredients, so it might take a few rounds if you need a larger quantity. What started as a fun gag gift has turned into a kitchen staple. Our kids are eager to help out more in the kitchen, and Gracula has made them excited about eating garlic and other healthy ingredients. It’s also a great way to break the ice when we have guests over, as it never fails to get a few laughs and comments.Compared to traditional garlic presses, Gracula offers a unique blend of functionality and fun. While it may not handle large batches as efficiently as some larger presses, its versatility and kid-friendly design make it a standout.Overall, the OTOTO Gracula Garlic Crusher is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Cute, but very tough to get the garlic out of
If your recipe calls for garlic and has water, you can kinda shake the thing submerged in water to free the garlic trapped between the teeth. Even so, It's a lot of extra work to get garlic out, especially by hand or with some kind of brush/fork.It's super cute, however, and the quality is good too. It doesn't feel cheap or anything, and I was really pressing on it to crush the garlic. It never felt like it was going to break.Aside from it making the garlic hard to get (its entire purpose, right?) I don't think this is a bad gift or cute counter top character. The name is adorable and the idea was well executed outside of the garlic being more work to get than a simple garlic press. This is probably one of the most apt definitions of "novelty" I can think of, but if you wanted a simple garlic press, you'd probably be looking for one, right?Definitely worth the cost, but I wouldn't buy another since I value function over form. My wife loves it! Take all these into consideration before buying.

Gave it as part of a shower gift for an avid Halloween chef. Not sure how it functions, but it's pretty darn cute.
