Works OK but has faults
The spout does its job of keeping paint out of the rim of the paint can. I have two issues with it. At least with my can of Benjamin Moore paint, the wire can carrier does not easily fit over the spout. If you force it over the spout, the spout is distorted. Also, the spout drips when you stop pouring the paint. Last, as a suggestion, it would be helpful if there was a straight edge inside the spout to help wipe off excess paint from a brush.

Very clever design, fits a variety of cans.
It has a series of tapered grooves and landings that you push inside the can. If the first one doesn't fit, you just keep pushing until you get a good "snap" on the next one. Very clever. And the grooves on the inside allow the lid to rest lightly. Not a seal, but handy storage between pours.

Needed item for painting
Have not used yet, but it is pretty much similar to a style I have that just is not made anymore.

Does NOT fit Sherwin-Williams' 1-Gallon Paint Can!! Smaller diameter & much too loose.
The inner seal's diameter is too small to snap into the rim of the paint can. When pouring, the paint leaks, and the spout often falls off, causing much paint loss. If you are using Sherwin-Williams' products, it is not a recommended purchase.

Couldn’t get it to fit right
Couldn’t get it to fit right even after adjustments. It could have been user error too but did best I could with no directions. Decided to just go without instead.
