I got this to keep at the top of my closet, primarily for a fireproof/waterproof place to keep documents, but I also wanted something hefty enough to deter thieves in case of a break-in. This so far meets my expectations very well, it's heavy enough that it would deter thieves enough, even if it's not bolted down. I thankfully haven't tested the waterproof/fireproofness, but given the build quality and thickness I'm fairly confident it would hold up. If somehow it were submerged in water I'm certain water would get in (there are no rubber seals or anything) but I would likely only need it to survive a sprinkler system at most, so it works for me. They also include an additional fireproof bag for storing cash or other valuables in, making it even more fireproof.The only thing I don't love about this safe is that the keypad/locking mechanism feel a bit cheap. If a thief was trying to break into this I don't think it would take much, as the bolts feel a little flimsy and the front is all plastic. It's not the end of the world since ideally the safe never even leaves the house, but that is something to keep in mind.Overall I'm very happy with it and it serves my purposes. It's also big enough to fit an unfolded sheet of paper in which I didn't expect; something I really appreciate for storing some specific documents.

I had a smaller safe and wanted a larger one. This is the perfect size for documents, jewelry, money, etc. It also comes with the mounting screws that are very secure. I also like the fact that the money bag is water and fire proof not just the safe. The light in it helps see in it if you have it somewhere dark. Another plus is you can set 2 passwords and make the key board silent. I would definitely recommend this safe to anyone wanting a smaller safe with big potential.

It is exactly what I wanted. Not so heavy that a woman can’t move it around or take it upstairs or down and it takes up very little room where I have placed it. It’s easy to use, and I feel more protected by having it to put important papers in, etc.

I bought this after reading the 4+ stars reviews. I don't understand why someone would even keep this thing. This Tepafac 2.3 Cub Fireproof Safe is junk. It is like a toy! We could not program a code to open door and the electronic key pad does not work - it is a silver-look plastic and the handle wiggles and looks like it is going to fall off. If it were to break, it would be impossible to open. The faceplate looks like some Chinese toy and the single wall is very thin. I don't know how it would survive water or a fire. Returning asap.

I'm not convinced that it is actually fireproof.

I looked for a small safe to fit into a friend's little "hidey hole". This fit perfectly and she is comfortable that her important papers and treasures are safe now. Fire destroyed her other home so she was concerned about losing things again. She gives this 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded. I love this small safe box. It’s similar to the ones in hotels when I travel. I admit I’m not fond of the plastic cover for the emergency key so that may eventually be lost. At first I couldn’t figure out how to lock it. I turned the handle and it wasn’t locked. So I put it back in the lock position and re-read the instructions. When I went back to test it again - low and behold it was locked! I was just impatient. I could just put my stuff in, turn the handle and rest assured it will auto lock. I don’t have to put the code back in to lock it. This will give me some piece mind that my little treasures won’t run away to someone’s pocket.
