As described. Simple but effective. I placed a piece of wood on the wall first and then screwed the mounts on the wood.

Simplicity itself!
This took longer to search for the right product than it took to hang them - so to save you time here is the perfect answer.

Great looking; not great in practice.
These arrived today and I immediately put up as have been wanting to put my board up. Mounting the holds was simple, however when tightening the screws to make the mount flush against the wall the screw easily started screwing through the internal thread hole of the rubber mount - immediate indication that these were not as solid as expecting. And then once placing my board, the mounts were being pushed outwards by the weight of the board (board only, no bindings) causing my board to slowly slip through. Overall very tricky to use due to the softness of the mounts.

Storage makes having a board so much easier, was easy to install looks good, makes the board look like it’s floating, i’ve had it a season and the board has never fell very sturdy.

My board just floating on the wall. SO easy to install (must measure perfectly and add .09 in!), SO effective, very sturdy, and minimalist chic (decided to store my board in my office, because now it takes so little real estate and looks very cool with this mount!). I can’t believe I spent so much money and effort with other bulky and ugly systems. BUY the is and don’t overthink it. Love it!
