Early Review: I bought the 22 pint model for $160. as so many end up doing, I read the reviews after making the purchase. A god number are negative.So stick to the reviews for your particular model, paying attention to pints. I'm going to buy the Amazon warranty just in case.(Seeing the hassles of dealing with Electrolux)Box was sealed and unit was brand new & unused .(Some reviewers claimed to have received used and previously returned unit. )The unit is LIGHT WEIGHT relatively speaking. Weight of a small microwave?I tightened up the somewhat loose hose cap, seeing so many mention their units leaking.The filter is one of those "you vacuum" reusable mesh filters. Major Plus.SO I PLUGGED IN THE MACHINE, ran it on high overnight. Woke up the next AM to a full tank of water.22 pints is approx 2.5 gallons. But the tank isn't necessarily 2.5 gallons.I'm in a slab built townhouse. Wood Frame. Drywall Ceilings and Walls.Sound is acceptable on the slab level. But placed on the upper levels, you hear the pulsating, revving buzzing compressor sound similar to a 30 years old window air conditioner.I had toovr the unit back to the slab level.I'm getting at least 2 tanks full of water per 24 hours. So the unit definitely works.Seeing all the negative reviews, Buy that Amazon warranty! The Amazon Asuriom warranty is often mentioned as much easier and more reliableVs the corporate warranty

We have an indoor dryer vent along with living in the south where the humidity in the summer is like a rain forest, So this has been a long overdue purchase after doing some research on mold and health. Have only had it 2 weeks and have already noticed how much lighter the air feels, how much less the A/C kicks on, and how much my lungs and sinuses have been purging since we got it lol. I set ours to 50% after the first few days of "continuous mode" and its keeping everything dry without running all the time. The lower settings be wary of, they tend to heat the house up because of it running more frequently in the summers so keep that in mind unless its in a basement or garage.

Have only had about 3 weeks but so far so good, dehumidified a 500 sq ft basement to 50% very quickly. Pump works well so far. Fan is on the loud side but not obnoxiously loud, can’t hear the compressor when it kicks on over the sound of the fan. Bucket is a little tough to remove but nothing crazy. Seems to be pretty well built.As an hvac tech one thing does concern me and that is the refrigerant type, the new refrigerants the epa mandated require additional sensors to be built into the equipment to detect for leaks, any leak detected on new equipment (2025 and on) and the system shuts itself down and will not operate.

I really like my new humidifier, it works great and will be more efficient for me when I get a hose hooked up to its back side so I don't have to manually empty the front tank; getting all the rain we get in the spring the tank needs to emptied often. I wished the filter was located in the front but that's not a big deal. I think I should have ordered a bigger capacity as I think our last one, being bigger, didn't run non stop like this one is doing; hopefully it will last a long time with our keeping up with it's care.

ABSOLUTELY HORRID EXPERIENCE. AND I MISSED THE AMAZON RETURN DATE; THAT'S ON ME.PRODUCT LEAKS CONTINUALLY. LEAKING BEGINS 30 MINUTES TO AN HOUR AFTER STARTING AND CONTINUES FOR AS LONG AS YOU LEAVE THE UNIT ON. LEAK IS NOT IN THE BUCKET; BUT COMING FROM UNDERNEATH THE UNIT.I'VE BOUGHT FRIGIDAIR PRODUCTS FOR MORE THAN 3 DECADES, AND WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM FRIGIDAIRE AGAIN.WASTED AN ENTIRE MORNING TRYING TO GET THIS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT REPLACED. I WOULD ADVISE JUST FORGETTING ABOUT DEALING WITH FRIGIDAIRE AGAIN. THAT IS THE ONLY SILVER LINING.I LOVE, AND BUY-BUY-BUY FROM AMAZON AND HAVE FOR YEARS. AND I WILL CONTINUE TO BUY FROM AMAZON; BUT CERTAINLY NOT APPLIANCES. IF I HAD BOUGHT FROM HOME DEPOT OR ANOTHER BIG BOX STORE IT WOULD BE SIMPLE: TAKE IT BACK AND GET MY MONEY BACK.IF YOU HAVE THE TIME AND PATIENCE TO DEAL WITH SUPPLIERS LIKE FRIGIDAIRE, BE MY GUEST. I'VE ALREADY LOST MORE MONEY BY DEALING WITH THIS, INSTEAD OF MY WORK, THAN BUYING SEVERAL OF THESE UNITS.DONE WITH IT. LESSON LEARNED. IF BUYING FROM AMAZON, WATCH THE DATE FOR WHEN RETURNS CLOSE.IF A NAME BRAND LIKE FRIGIDAIRE IS THIS BAD. THEN I'VE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH OF THIS PARTY.PERSONALLY, I AM COUNTING THIS PURCHASE AS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND ENTERING IT AS A DEAD LOSS.LATER TODAY I'LL WASTE MORE TIME GOING TO A BIG BOX AND BUYING A DIFFERENT BRAND DEHUMIDIFIER.OH, AND I'M ENJOYING MY AMAZON PURCHASE OF EXTENDED WARRANTY. I'M SURE IN A YEAR OR SO, WHEN FRIGIDAIRE'S WARRANTY EXPIRES ASSURION WILL BE THERE TO HELP... BUT I WON'T BE...HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO WASTE ON THIS MESS.

Works very well. Noise level is quite good, but I always have something running.. white noise and air filter. The compressor is very smooth when it cuts on and off. "Auto" mode is a mystery, and manual is terrible. The accuracy of its own humidity reading is about 5% too high, so if I want a humidity of 40%, I have to set it to 45%. I suspect the water it collects is skewing its own sensor. Overall very pleased in spite of the quirks.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works well. This keeps up with all the moisture in our basement from all the rain! Its energy efficient and easy to clean and dump out the water!
