Update on my previous review
I have now had the opportunity to use these dryer balls and I must say that they are EXCELLENT. They are perform as advertised and do cut my drying time. I must admit that I wasn't paying a lot of attention to when everything was dry, but the time had not run out when I found out everything was completely dry. No trouble either with static. I highly recommend this product. I love being able to leave them in the dryer and not have to go looking for where I put them. I also like that they are made in the United States and, I suspect, by a small business owner (even better).

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE WOOL DRYER BALLS!!!
The wool dryer balls have impressed me so much that I've given some away (I bought eight, but it doesn't take that many for a load of clothes) to let my friends see for themselves how AWESOME these dryer balls are.I'm earth friendly and make my own cleaners, so when it came time for fabric softener (I use vinegar in the washer) I was always trying to find something that would replace those smelly, costly (chemical laden) fabric softener sheets. It thrilled me to find these wool dryer balls! They are 100% Handmade, Natural, cost efficient, and most importantly...THEY WORK. I've had mine for around two years now!The more you use, the fluffier your laundry will be, but it only takes about three to do the job. And something the frugal girl in me REALLY LOVES is that they last forever (not literally, but you get my drift)! Fabric softener sheets have to be replaced over and over and over and over...The service was awesome, fast, and friendly. Order some now for yourself, and since they're so inexpensive you can order some for your friends and family, too! Great for birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, college students, bachelors, and anyone who wants to simplify doing laundry.

Glad to buy American but they don't last
I have bought dryer balls in the past from other countries and they have lasted over 4 years and are still going strong. These are already half their original size after less than 2 months of 4 loads a week of use. Very disappointed. They were also half the size of the others I have bought from other companies. Cost more—smaller size—lasts a shorter time. Still want to buy American but at 4-10x the cost?

Greatl alternative to fabric softener
I've been using these for about three years and I've bought them for family and friends to convince them how worthwhile they are. They work really well and have none of the harmful chemicals you find in liquid and sheet fabric softeners. Just a few tips, for a small load you do need 4+ dryer balls to control the static, but on the other hand even if you don't use that many, the static will dissipate once you put your clothes away. For larger loads, also using 4-5+ balls will help the clothes dry faster. Also, for me a major benefit is getting rid of the awful artificial smell of liquid and sheet softeners. Hey, nothing in nature ever smelled like that and if anyone has any question of the safety of the chemicals used, look up information on indoor air pollution. Those chemicals keep releasing toxins into your indoor air and can affect respiration. The smells are alluring and take you back to fond memories of childhood, warmth and home, but the truth is their toxic fumes--those companies selling this stuff are playing on our sentiments to sell their products--their products are not safe. I don't miss the odor of those traditional softeners, AND guess how much I save per year not constantly replenishing my stock of softeners. That alone is a reason to go with the dryer balls. I've been using the same ones for about three years and they still do the job.

Love these dryer balls!
I love these dryer balls! They cut down drying time, and clothes come out soft. I have had a bit of a problem with static (even though I don't dry synthetics), but it's not the end of the world, and I like not having to use chemical-filled dryer sheets.

Perfect dryer solution!
I really do not like disposable things. I wanted a reusable dryer solution. Also, I have very sensitive skin, and dryer sheets sometimes gave me skin reactions. These are just a perfect solution. I've had them for about 3 months now, and they REALLY DO shorten dryer time, and they really do remove static cling. I have 8 of them, and I just leave them in the dryer all the time. I almost never have to re-start a load now (I used to have to restart a load every time). Worth the money!

100% wool?
I bought several packs of these in December '14 today I notice that one of the balls is wearing thin and then I notice what seems to be cheap acrylic yarn wrapped and then the wool was felted on top to be cheap! We are paying more for what we 'think' is a good company and made in the USA but I wonder if they have been bought. Disappointed, I would have these would last many many years. :(

Well worth the money!
These dryer balls are more expensive than almost all the other dryer balls. But, I can see why after receiving them. I purchased a set of the less expensive dryer balls. Upon receipt of these balls I now see why the difference in cost. These balls are about double the size of the less expensive balls and they are more weighted and dense. Definitely better quality and worth the extra money. I believe they will last a long time.
