Super high quality thermos. I only use it for tea, but it holds heat very well! Make sure to hand wash it, otherwise the coating might get damaged!!! The opening mechanism is very unique as well, so far no leaks.

You get what you pay for and this is a high quality product. For how well it works keeping liquids hot and cold all day and how cute it is I’d say it was a good value. The capacity is nice as I like to bring this to work and can drink from it all day. It’s easy to use and the lock feature works nicely. There were no strange smells. This is a top notch brand and they make very nice products

I tested this with hot water and left it overnight. Was pleasantly surprised in the morning when the water was still piping hot. Great little thermos. Very happy with purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I like the easy pour cap, great for MATE controlled pouring, but IT LEAKSThe system of opening/closing seems to be simple enough BUT it LEAKS.Everything else about this thermos is what one will expect, heat retention is excellent. Good find, too bad IT LEAKS.

I'm the kind of person who likes his coffee so hot I have to blow on it to drink it. Until now the best thermos I've found was the Stanley Classic 1 liter model which keeps coffee hot for about four hours before I have to microwave the remainder. This Zojirushi thermos has heat retention capability beyond my expectations. Coffee stays piping hot for at least seven hours and drinkable for about another two before needing nuking. The outside of the thermos stays not just cool but cold throughout the day so you know there's very little heat loss. Any heat loss has to come through the plastic cap which never gets more that just slightly warm. Coffee pours neatly from the flip-up spout with no splashing or dripping.To clean, I just swish some hot soapy water in it then rinse it out through the cap spout. I haven't had it long enough to know if the interior will stain, but I've read from others that there's very little at most and cleans up easily.I can say without hesitation that this is the best vacuum thermos I've ever had and recommend it highly.Update: after using this for a while, the flow-through cap is leaking at the end of a pour. Coffee runs down the side of the bottle and has to be quickly wiped up. This ruins an otherwise great thermos.....one star removed.

There is something seriously wrong with this item. When the thermos started staining I soaked it in dawn power wash for about an hour. Afterwards, when I pored out the water it was tinted brown and a lot of penny sized black flakes came out of it as well. It was disgusting looking. Under closer inspection I believe there was a lining and it had peeled off. I don’t think that’s normal. Not sure if I had received a defective product or not. I think one other person complained about that as well. I used the item for a few months before discovering the problem. I stopped using it since then, unsure if traces of particles may still be in there. I don’t know what the coating is made of and am scared it might be dangerous if too much is consumed. Would have returned it but it was too late. I tried uploading a picture but it’s tough to see the inside.I typically love Zojirushi items and this is the first time I’ve had a problem with one. In the past, I always found they produced reliable, high quality products. I don’t know what’s wrong with this one.As far as the other features:1. It did keep my drinks hot for the time period stated. 2. Didn’t leak (but you need manually push the bumped up rubber thing down a little harder to seal it well. 3. Seemed reasonably thick and sturdy.Not sure if it’s worth spending the money to see if this is going happen to you as well since it may occur after the return period.

I bought this thermos after searching for the right thermos for hot tea that I send to school with my son during the winter months.I tried Yeti’s and Stanley’s and everything in between and I am SO glad I found this thermos.It’s day one, no leaks, zero issues and my son just got home from school and the tea is STILL hot! I am wildly impressed as i definitely did not expect that after 8 hours he would still have a hot beverage.Definitely a must buy if you’re trying to get a product to keep coffee, tea, soups etc hot.I will say I preheated the thermos with boiling water as I was then making his tea and honey mix - not sure that helped or needs to be done, but can’t hurt!

This is a great product - keeps my coffee in the morning piping hot. BUT! Every time, and I mean every time, I pour from this thermos the coffee dribbles down the side of the thermos. As you lift it back up after pouring, it dribbles on your counter. So EVERY time you pour even a simple cup of coffee you end up wiping the thermos itself, and the counter as well. I want to emphasize I've tried pouring SLOW, FAST, lifting the thermos upright quickly, lifting it up slowly, twisting it like a wine bottle after pouring -- NOTHING WORKS. YOU'LL WIPE UP AFTER EVERY POUR.
