Stylish and Smart
They look just like classic Ray-Bans, but with smart technology built in, which is a huge plus. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and don’t feel bulky at all. The audio quality is surprisingly good for open-ear speakers. I can listen to music, take calls, and still be aware of my surroundings. The built-in camera is very convenient for capturing quick photos and videos hands-free, and the quality is solid for everyday moments. Overall, these glasses are a great combination of fashion and technology. Perfect for anyone who wants smart features without sacrificing style. Highly recommended!

Great!
For someone who’s older and not hip to new age tech and AI I decided to order a pair of these and try them out. They're very user friendly. The quality of the camera is amazing, it translates easily with just a push of a couple buttons. It only has a handful of languages, but they are common languages to Americans. They also block the sun really well as most all Ray-Bans do. They don’t look or feel much different than normal sunglasses. Their weight isn’t even noticeable when wearing. They fit nicely and they look like the classics. I have to mention the Meta App. It’s super easy to use and the fun and useful things with it are so great! Really! You can actually play around with photos and make animations and videos! So at any rate, these glasses only cost a hundred bucks or so more than the non-AI ones. I 100% recommend buying a pair of these.

Awesome glasses
Bought these as a Christmas gift and he loved them. Very easy to set up and use, so many functions he is still playing with. Fit great and very comfortable to wear. He uses them daily. Lots of options to change out lenses just make sure to check the size first. Super stylish looking glasses and holds charge a long time.

Update 2. Device so useless as to be unbelievable. Software is not ready for Prime Time
This is an update to an update to an update. I’ve officially downgraded these glasses to one star. If the Amazon Gods would only let us use negative values I would be even happier. . After almost 10 days of trying to use these things while on our European vacation, I have to declare them the single most defective, most useless device purchased on Amazon (or anywhere) in a very long time. I normally carry both an iPhone and iPad with me. The software is so kludgy that it never knows where or how to connect. The Ai function does not work at all. Period. No amount of fiddling will make it work. This, in spite of the fact that I’ve tried connecting to the US via a VPN. To make things worse is the fact that you will often, and unknowingly, begin to take either photos or videos. I have some stunning photos of my shoes, the carpet, and the bright blue sky. This all happens as you sit in a lounge chair looking goofy because the LED light, which cannot be disabled, blinks to let people know you seem to prefer a video of your shoes rather than the stunning native scenery. People tend to alternate looking at you as both a pervert and an idiot. Good grief, I can’t wait to send these things back to Amazon. The value of this product should be about $10 and be on the rack in the convention store with the other cheap glasses that are more often stolen than purchased. These glasses are so useless as to be really unbelievable. They will not stay connected to any iOS device. They constantly lose Bluetooth connectivity. It seems the Ai function is not available outside the US as it refuses to work in Europe. The glasses refuse to connect to a European WiFi. Whatever you do. Do NOT believe any of the glowing reviews from the YouTube hucksters who are getting free swag and being paid to tout this product. Take it from me. These glasses are not going to do what you want them to do. Rayban you should be ashamed of lending your good name to a carnival side show barker such as Zuckerberg. So, while everyone is posting somewhat rave reviews, let’s discuss the cons of owning these glasses. I bought these glasses for use both on vacation, as well as an addition to my studio cameras that I use for my Edge Of Innovation channel on YouTube. The software is wonky. Seemingly it will not pair with two iOS devices. For example, you cannot pair the device with both your iPhone and IPad. Once paired there is a goofy, convoluted process to do a full reset of the glasses in order to pair with another device. Speaking of using with an iPad…there is no iPad specific app for the glasses. To use the Meta View app one must use the app as an iPhone app in the enlarged view in the portrait mode. Software this bad from two major companies is simply unacceptable in today’s world. As we all know, there is no love lost between Apple and Meta. This becomes clear when using this device. It is my greatest hope that Apple will create a competing device and Sherlock this device from Meta. I should mention that the only reason this is not a 1-star review is because the glasses themselves are okay as far as actually working as sun glasses.

Great Product For Content Creators
It’s a great product for what it is I just isn’t for me. I’m not taking away any stars because it does exactly what it’s designed to do and it does it really well, audio quality is great as well as photo and video quality. But after using for a few days I just cannot find a use for it in my life. I believe this is a great product for anyone in the content creation business which while I am (kinda) it’s just not something I can justify. This product though it amazing I recommend it to anyone.

Battery life may be low, but it's manageable.
After having a few days to use these Ray-Ban Metas, I'm going to bump my review up a star. I've been taking them out for get togethers, and just knocking around with my Wife. Using the case, I can easily keep the battery topped off and get many hours of use out of them. For example, we left the house this morning around 10 am. I turned on the Meta AI, caught some messages, picked up a call, took some still pictures, and recorded several videos. While not using the glasses, I popped them back in the case, and by the time we got home after 4 pm, the Metas were still 100% charged. I'm interested to see how storing them in the case, taking them out, etc. affects battery longevity. The case is bulky, but manageable. I had a ton of fun with them, so if you're on the fence, but love this kind of tech, go for it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: ---------------------------------------------- Amazing technology somewhat hampered by a wimpy battery. I do think, despite only 3 stars, it's an amazing piece of technology. Now, having said that, the battery life is a big issue with these Gen 1 glasses. I was aware of this limitation through reading reviews, but still, it seems disingenuous to tout up to 4 hours of battery life. If you don't use any of the available features, you can probably get 4 hours out of them - at which point they are just sunglasses - but if you use all the cool options that make them worth buying in the first place (photo, music, call answering, video recording) you're doing well to get a couple of hours. There are lots of tips available on extending the battery life if you do a little research, but you will have to make some sacrifices and at the least, keep that charging case (which is a bit bulky for carrying in a pocket) handy. Using the AI, video recording and importing media seem to be the biggest drain on the power. It's a good thing they were on sale, but depending on how much it turns out I use them I will probably end up springing for the Gen 2...but I am willing to bet that if all features are enabled, it's highly probable that will work out to around maybe 4 hours give or take. Better than the Gen 1 for sure, but still significantly under the advertised 8 hours.

I am thoroughly impressed with these. The battery life meets my expectations, allowing for half a day of music listening without issue. However, extensive use of the camera functions does drain the battery quickly, lasting only about an hour. The quality of the pictures taken is very good, and the large frames I chose suit me well. Given the nature of my work, having a capable video camera is essential, and these have fit the bill. While I do wish I had chosen the transition lenses for better indoor usability, the experience of listening to music is fantastic. The sound quality exceeded my expectations, and the privacy it offers is undeniable. Another great function is the live translation. Translate any language directly into your ears. Not impressed with the AI function I've tried asking the AI function questions and it's not very reliable. I get weird answers and it doesn't always understand what I'm talking about. Even simple things like, what is the object I am holding, in this case, a leaf, it can't answer well. It's hit or miss.
