Fit perfectly
These are perfect replacements for the in-cap (screw cap with hole) spout pf my 35-40 year old Eagle steel gas can. These even have the built in steel screen filter close to the “rotted” original rubber spout. It takes a little force to pop out old spout and pop in the new. Make certain you pop the recessed part it fully into the cap. It should NOT fall out if you take the cap off.

Re: It fits
I bought this to replace a broken spout on an old metal gas can that broke over the summer. I had bought one of those plastic gas cans, but the darn thing collapsed. Thankfully, I kept the metal one and bought this spout.

Dangerous safety hazard.
Barely a month old and they shrink and turn hard as a rock and leak. That’s with ethanol-free gas. A fire hazard with the leakage as well as the fuel vapor. Avoid, they should be pulled from sale because of the safety hazard.

Works and fits well on my older Eagle gas cans using my old metal caps.
Works and fits well on my older Eagle 2 gallon gas cans while using my old metal caps. Not quite as rigid as the original rubber spouts but seals good so far.

Thank you for making this
I'm grateful that somebody thought to make this, and kind of disgusted at Eagle for making wonderful gas cans and then not being bothered to offer replacements for the doomed rubber spout. That said, this is a 4* product but I gave it 5* out of gratitude. Here's some information you may find useful. You will be installing it two times and then never removing it. The first time you install it you'll find it is a tiny bit bigger than the inside of the cap. I was able to seat it using the rear end of a toothbrush. Once you have pressed it all the way in, press the cap very hard until the threads catch and tighten it fully. The spout will point the wrong way. Use a magical marker to mark on the cap the right way. Remove the spout and reinstall it the right direction. Unlike the original you will not be able to rotate the spout. Because this is a nuisance you will no longer be removing the spout and fitting the tiny cap for transport. The red plug is not air-tight or gasoline-tight, so keep that in mind. Not wanting to lose my tiny cap, I attached it to the can with a Harbor Freight magnet. I have a second Eagle can that will soon need one of these so I guess I'll get another.
