Reduces sunspots from darkening by about 75-85% - Read on for my full one-week test:
I recently spent $$$ on Picolaser sessions in Asia to lighten all my sunspots, so when a weeklong trip to Hawaii came up, I wanted to ensure that they did not return. Overall? don't hesitate, GET THESE PATCHES. Why?-WEIGHTLESS: You know those fancy NexCare waterproof bandaids or 3M TegaDerm wound coverings made of an ultrathin, transparent film? Pretty much the same type of material as these patches. They are micro-thin and infused with sunscreen.-APPLICATION: similar to those fancy bandaids - you remove the backing, apply the adhesive side to face, and then remove the top film to secure the patch. I only messed up one time -- and realized that the trick is to peel back the top film suuuuuper slooooowly at a 45 degree angle or even less. See, If you peel the top film at a 90 degree angle or more, the patch can "lift" off the skin and get wrinkled. After I realized this, it was smooth sailing each time. The peptide serum (water-based) applied as a last step, helps to secure the patch even further.-NEARLY INVISIBLE (without makeup): Sitting across the table from me, my husband didn't notice the patches until i mentioned it. And with a big hat on, it was totally undetectable. It does look slightly matte, but being transparent it blends in.-LONG WEAR: these lasted all day even through snorkeling, ocean swims, pools, and more. Sure, the patch started to lift slightly at the edges after a long day, but still stayed in place with repeat applications of physical and chemical sunscreens gently patted (not swiped or smeared) on top. (More on that below)-REMOVAL: super easy -- you can peel it off, or dissolve the adhesion with a cleansing balm (My fave is Milani's Green Goddess which is a total dupe of Clinique's Take The Day Off cleansing balm (Milani's is much cheaper, and both are made in Japan). it slides off easily and just toss!Overall, after one week of wearing Franz XL patches in Hawaii under the bright beach sun, (I also wore sunglasses and beach hats when possible), and after careful inspection, I can say that these patches prevented my sunspots from getting darker by about 75-85%. Why not 100%? Well these are not OPAQUE. Only full opacity will prevent sun contact, period. And these patches are still clear and transparent and allow light to shine thru, despite being imbued with sunscreen.I also layered extra sunscreen on top (both physical and chemical types), gently patting in to prevent lifting of the film. I'm not sure if that helped any extra. On two days, I added foundation and concealer on top to create even more opacity. Eeks! Welp--- I do NOT recommend doing that. Makeup will adhere strongly, and the finish will be more matte and create a weirder texture than the rest of your skin. The contrast makes it more obvious and my skin looked worse. If you desperately want some coverage, use a very light tinted moisturizer. Do not use full coverage makeup; it can look very aging. At worst, it looks like you have opaque skin colored patches on.

good product but hard to apply
it is a little hard to put on as the product is VERY thin, I experimented on putting it on top of my makeup and that had better results than under but a the end of the day my sunglasses rubbed the product and I looked like I was molting but coverage and protection is good! I would say practice putting on a thin skin bandage before putting this on.I do kind of wish that they provided with extra because i wasted like 3 on one side of my face and could not smooth it out.

Buy if you want to WASTE YOUR MONEY
I tried the patches 3 times. They are terrible. Photos attached. Not easy to apply, and directions are not good. There are 3 layers of plastic. Takes a few tries to actually remove the last layer of plastic, and then the edge is not good. When you’ve finally put the patch on properly, the instructions say to put the serum on top. The serum ruins the patch and makes it bubbly and no longer smooth. The worst is putting sunscreen and or makeup on top.It looks terrible no matter what you do, difficult to use and a complete waste of money.

Innovative product!
Not gonna lie, placing the patch for the first time was a pain as I did not understand the instructions correctly. I ended up wasting the first one. However! If you've ever placed a screen protector on your phone it is basically the same idea and very straightforward. Once I was able to place them correctly it was the best thing ever. I live and play golf in CA and hated wearing those skin colored UV patches to block out freckles and sun spots. You feel them on your face no matter what, they peel off here and there and overall you look ridiculous lol. But these are virtually invisible and feel soooo comfortable. I almost forgot to peel them off at the end of the day! And my face is quite oily but the patched area stayed nicely matte (but not overly drying). Applying the supplied peptide cream on the patches is the key! Do not skip this final step. Once the cream goes on, small creases you may have magically disappears and the skin feels so moisturized and plump. I was very impressed with the product at the end of my rounding and told all my friends. Truly a game changer if you play golf or like to stay out in the sun a lot. Yes it's expensive but honestly I think it's worth every penny.. ***There is a tiny QR code on the back of packaging which will lead to a YouTube video showing a how to. Must watch before your 1st application. Otherwise you may get grumpy and trash the product like i almost did!

Gimmicky
I love the idea of an invisible sun patch but it doesn't stick well, comes off/wrinkles after an hour and when exercising. It looks worse than the traditional sun patches as it looks I've splattered something on my cheek.

A game changer for me as I love my outdoor activities, but am really careful with my skin.
I have been using these when I run. The first time, I used them without my spf 70 under. I do think they protected my skin. The last 2 times, I used my spf under and let it dry as much as possible, then put the patches over the spf. It worked really well. They do start to curl up a tiny bit once I have been sweating a lot (last two runs have been 6 and 4 miles in 80 degree heat), but I'm super pleased with how they've worked and really feel this is a game changer for me as I love my outdoor activities, but am really careful with my skin.

Added sun protection
I liked these, though they took a bit for me to apply the first time. Now I have the hang of it. I thought maybe I could apply over makeup but that is not the case, they won’t stick so just keep that in mind. I wore them in Mexico and I will say after a few hours they started to slip after sweating profusely. But you’d have to reapply sunscreen anyways by that point so didn’t bother me. I would buy these again. I enjoyed the fact that they weren’t as noticeable as other sun patches I’ve tried.
