Notion Home Monitoring System (Starter Kits) (Starter Kit 3+1 (Gen 2))

I'm really mixed with notion, the kit that I ordered came with a faulty bridge. The block that plugs into the wall.To configure it should have been simple but because the product only supports 2.4Ghz wifi, and your phone & block have to be on the same frequency for configuration to work. It often doesn't with Apple & modern wifi systems.I dug out an android tablet, where I can control my wifi more manually than Apple, the notion bridge still wouldn't configure.Several days of back & forth email with support and a phone call where I just told them I'm sending the product back resulted in a new bridge being sent to me... This time I was able to get it working, took a couple of goes but it eventually worked.I added the sensors, and everything just came together.Hence the 3 stars....Notion hasn't opened up their API but there is something in the works from what I can see.It's integration with Nest isn't great, it just gives you the ability to manually control Nest thermostat.There's a lot of potential it's not a prime time product yet,It needs stability in it's hardware.Needs an active integration with Nest where it can act as a remote sensor + controller for Nest to balance out temperature through out your house.And the setup / configuration just simply needs to work first time.All things I'm sure the product team can make happen, I will admit that once I finally got it working I bought 3 more sensors to deploy around the house.And the data it's showing me is really useful.So I'm really hopeful that they make it a better.

The setup is fairly easy but the integration is limited. We use these to augment our setup with standalone AC in the office and a guest room that stay consistently warmer than the other side of our house. It works well enough for basic tasks and general information.

Everything is perfect, I am notified almost instantly by cell phone when I purposely expose the sensor to water and the lost of Wi-Fi. The signal comes through as a notification & unfortunately I cannot adjust the volume and type of sound as I can on phone calls and text messages. If you desire a recommendation from me that would be ok.I am still in need for a power outage sensor with a high decibel alarm. If you have any suggestions inform me.

This is a pretty good product. The range on the sensors are about 25% less then what I would really need for a bigger house. The app is good.

Pretty awesome product if you want constant notifications when your doors open and close, wether or not you are at home or away, any time of the day, no matter how you set it up, and notifications of your temp being to high or low, when it isn't (compared to ecobees sensors), oh, and if you have anything other than basic smoke detectors, these won't pick them up, so there is that too. And if you stick em on your door before you set them up( assuming that it can sense when a door is opened, and listen for smoke detectors) you are screwed. Cause it can't. It's doors and temp, and smoke dectors, not both. If you have Alexa in your house already, do yourself a favor and wait for Alexa guard. Oh, and the support team is pretty useless too, I've been back and forth with them, and they have been praticaly no help.

Very easy to set up, and does so much more than just monitoring temps. It monitors door being opened/closed, smoke alarm detections, flooding detections, and shows the history of each monitoring categories. Of course, I can monitor all sensor's all monitoring categories on the App via internet anywhere in the world. It also has one small attachment for sliding door monitoring option. Thoughtful.

Easy set up and installation. Great idea and execution. Been watching Notion and waiting for a bit but finally decided to get it. Impressive. I have to placement of the sensors relative to the hub to keep them from losing connectivity but working that out.

Rarely post but this did what it said and was easy to install. 6 months and working for me.
