"Break Glass" but fortunately without glass and easily resettable
This switch is for operating electrically locked doors but could also be used for anything electrical which you will permit being operated in exceptional circumstances. Do make a new label. It can be used in a variety of different electrical configurations and can operate at least two distinct electrical circuits. A comprehensive set of wiring diagrams shows how. The switch can be attached to a recessed wall box but comes with its own wall fitting if one is not available. Although called "Break Glass" there is no glass involved. At least, I can't see any. Pressing on the white face of the switch releases a mechanical device, which in turn operates the electrical switches. A special tool is needed to reset the mechanism. I don't think a heavy blow, perhaps in panic, would disable the mechanism rather than operate it, but it is a consideration. As in any "safety of life" situation sole reliance on an electrical mechanism is problematic - how about a power failure in a fire. For situations in which you would permit operation of, say, exits but want to know it has happened, this switch is ideal.

Nice mechanism
This style of resettable call point is slightly different to the style which I already have and I think I prefer this one. The mechanism takes advantage of the flexibility of the push plate itself, this means that it has less moving parts and doesn't require a separate spring. This can only be a good thing as there is less to go wrong. It also has a more versatile contact arrangement. The only downside is that the mechanism is slightly more fiddly to reset, but that is a small price to pay for a superior design.

Well constructed and designed with practicality as the first priority; the text contains accurate and lucid information, and the button consistently functions as intended. Excellent emergency push button that is doing admirably thus far; delighted with the whole effectiveness and craftsmanship for such a little price. It's quite simple to install and configure, and it looks fantastic.

Works Well on Door
.It's simple to install on the wall and works well with the door. The fire alarm button switch makes it easy to control, ensuring quick response during emergencies. It can be reset, which is convenient and saves money for long-term use for me. Especial when you have prankster kids in the building.

well made unit
this resettable emergency door release switch consists of a well made quality plastic enclosure with screws to attach the front panel and a reset key for the "break glass" mechanism. the wiring contacts are part of a quick connect plug so you can easily wire to the plug and then securely slot it into place in the casing without having to secure wires at an awkward angle. the reset mechanism is easy to operate and has a clear visual indicator for when it has been triggered. resetting the mechanism with the key is extremely quick and simple. the color of the enclosure is nice and vibrant and eye-catching so people will see it when it's needed. all in all this a very good quality product and for the price good value.
