Rostio Tank Rust Remover 1 Litre Concentrate – Rust Removal Fuel Petrol Water Tank

After a bit of research on how best to remove rust inside the tank of my bike that had been standing for 10-years I found this stuff. Ordered from Germany and arrived sooner than expected including English instructions.Easy to use, dilute as instructed with 1 litre Rostio to 9 litres of water the warmer the better and leave as long as you like. After removing the fuel pump from the bottom of my tank and bunging the hole it still wasn't completely water tight so I left it upturned and though it was also a little leaky around the filler Rostio did no harm to the paintwork. Wrapped the tank in a couple of blankets to keep warm and sloshed it around a bit every few hours then about a day later poured the solution away and rinsed with cold water then a little meths to remove any lingering moisture and prevent flash rust.The results are incredible as you can see, I would highly recommend this product.

This is the first Amazon review I've ever left but felt I had to this stuff is genuinely amazing used it on a 1981 cb 900 tank and it just ate through the rust and left it with what looks like a sandblased finished I will definitely use this again if I ever have a tank that needs cleaning I did read in an earlier review about the instructions being in German but when I got mine there were English instructions included really easy to use works like magic I have attached a photo of the inside of the tank after 2/3 hours of the product being inside the tank so you can see for yourself keep in mind the whole bottom of the tank was covered in rust

This is a very good product,It transformed my 30+ year old motorcycle petrol tank.The tank was quite rusty with loose flakes rattling around inside. I left the solution inside, using practically boiling water to the concentrate for around 24 hrs. As suggested I wrapped the tank inside a blanket to maintain the temperature.The following day I drained the tank, all the rust sediment had dissolved with the colour of weak tea. On inspection, I was amazed with the result, their was some light traces of rust evident, but I was more than happy to put the the tank into commission.I flush the solution out with a hose pipe, about 4 tank loads of water. When I was satisfied that most of the water had drained off, I placed about 500ml of methylated spirits into the tank.This will absorb any residual water in the tank. I left this in for another day, shaking the contents around occasionally before draining it off and filling with petrol. A good tip is to add a fuel stabilizer as well.I'm a happy customer!

I wish I had found this stuff years ago, it does exactly what it says it does. Beautiful nice clean tank now, I’ve purchased another one just to have it to hand if I need to do another tank. I restore old bikes and this stuff is a must
