This is the ONLY dog food that my 2 year old beagle has been able to tolerate. I adopted him at 4 months old and he had horrible digestive problems from day one. After much trial and error, bloodwork and allergy tests, he has so many allergies that I would never have thought to look. I bought at least 6-7 different brands/types before finding out why he wasn’t tolerating the food. He must have known because he didn’t even want to eat the food. A beagle not wanting to eat? Yes, there’s a problem. Found out that oatmeal and Beef are two of his biggest problems (plus like 10 additional ingredients). The ingredients in this Blue Buffalo Basics Grain-Free Adult Dry Dog Food, Skin & Stomach Care, Limited Ingredient Diet for Dogs, Turkey Recipe is EXACTLY as the name says. The ingredients ARE limited, ALL easy to pronounce and understand what it is, NO filler products and he LOVES the food. It is a little bit on the pricier side regarding size to price ratio but this is the best and only food that I have found for him and I’m incredibly grateful to have found it. If they ever discontinue this food, I’ll have a huge problem. Please do not discontinue this food!! It’s phenomenal quality and he actually loves it. He’s thriving and it makes me so happy.

I adopted my 8yr old GSD about 2 months ago and he has had diarrhea and super soft stools since the day I got him. He was also super itchy and red and loosing his fur. After many vet visits, dewormers, steroids, and shampoos...I decided to get this food. The day we got it my boyfriend gave him a dinner of half old food, and half this food (because he didn't know you had to wean dogs into new food) and to my surprise....that evening my dog had a formed stool for the first time since I got him. So we threw out his old food and guess what? I have a HEALTHY pooch. He no longer has bloating, gas, tummy pain, or diarrhea, and his coat is super shinny and he is much more energetic and excitable. Plus he LOVES the taste. He devours it. Now I have to fill the bowl with warm water so he doesn't eat his food so fast.

Our Wheaten has always had a sensitive stomach so we were careful with what food we gave her. As she got older she developed a more annoying problem; some pretty serious flatulence. This dog could clean out a room faster than a bunch of frat boys who spent the night drinking beer, eating pizza and downing breakfast burritos off a hand painted food truck.I asked our vet what we could do short of installing exhaust fans and wearing gas masks in the house and she suggested a change in food. While she didn't specifically recommend this brand it had the ingredients she said to look for.Long story short - problem solved. The dog still has the occasional, ummm, what's the nice word I'm looking for here?, but who doesn't? She also likes the taste and her sensitive stomach seems to be fine with it.

This dog food is definitely high quality compared to other brands and types. Right out of the bag you can tell that the color of this food and smell is very subtle and not overpowering or loaded with caramel coloring. I bought it for my Weimaraner who is not usually a picker eat however he has from time to time had skin sensitivities to alot of foods or has had soft semi loose stools accompanied by grass eating which made me realize it was time to ditch the garbage. I spent so much time researching this brand and food vs. prescription vs. other brands and ultimately went with this brand due to the fact that many of my friends swore by Blue Buffalo products. I also went ahead and got the puppy formula for my 5 month old Frenchie and he gobbled it up too! OH, the skin issues the Weimaraner was having, yeah they are gone! yay!
