Excellent product- exceeds my expectations
TLDR: Don't expect "fried" foods, but it beats easily beats an oven for crispy foods either from scratch or from the freezer section of the megamart. Pricey, but high quality from a reputable company. Big enough for a family of 6. Easy to use and easy to clean.Full review:Night one, we tried an assortment of frozen convenience foods- french fries, chicken nuggets, cheese sticks, poppers, and taquitos. Some were just slightly better than the oven, some (the fries especially) were better than the oven, and the taquitos, which came out perfect, beat their fried version, giving all the crunch but zero grease. The next morning, we tried cinnamon-sugar dusted canned biscuit donuts. My kids were in heaven. They didn't even notice that I used Splenda instead of sugar, saving carbs and calories. Yum.Since then, we've baked a cake, made homemade citrus-rosemary chicken breast, roasted Brussel Sprouts (pictured with a Sous Vide sirloin,) buffalo wings, and puff pastry chocolate pockets. All were excellent. The XXL is reasonably quiet, considering the internal fan- roughly equivalent to a microwave from the 1990s. The controls are simple to use and, being analog, shouldn't fail on us (an issue for those machines with digital touch screens, or so I am told) and the non-stick surfaces are easy to clean. In short, it works like a dream- but, according to the reviews, so do many less expensive models from other manufacturers. So one question remains: is Phillips really worth the price tag?I spent a year researching before buying. I'm that kind of person. My wife and I teach public school in red states and we've got four growing kids, so budget matters in my house. The Phillips won be over based on build quality and support options. If you look at any Phillips model side by side with the other brands in most stores, you can see and feel the difference. The basket, the base, heck, even the plastic just feel better. And when you read the reviews, it seems as if other brands have a high number of lemons plus poor customer service. Many people rave about other brands, but those who run into issues frequently complain that repairs and replacements can be difficult or downright impossible.I know for a fact that Phillips does repair and replace. In fact, I have done business with one of their authorized repair centers in the past when I bought a refurbished espresso machine. Sure, I could have gambled with a cheaper brand and hoped I got one of the good ones. I probably would have been OK. But with the Phillips, I trust my investment. Plus, it helps that Amazon is letting me spread the cost out over 12 months interest free on my Prime card, easing the strain on my wallet.I have no regrets at this stage of the game. I am hoping this machine will last my family for years to come.

Easiest to clean airfryer I've encountered.
I don't often leave reviews for products on here but after a couple weeks with this I had to. This is without a doubt the best airfryer I've ever had. One of the major issues I have with airfryers is just how much of a pain they are to clean. They always have annoying nooks and crannies to get into, the drawer doesn't come out, there's tight corners where crumbs will bake over and over and get stuck. Not this one though. The drawer comes completely out. While scrubbing the grate I did have a complaint about the design in that it would be so much easier to clean if the grate came out as crumbs were accumulating beneath the edges of the grate... and like magic I noticed the elbow latches keeping the grate in. The grate comes out! Holy moly is this thing easy to clean. The only complaint I can possibly have for this is that the analog knobs don't feel especially accurate. This is just a downside of analog as a whole but these knobs could have been made bigger to mark times and temperatures better. Still better than having a digital airfryer with a more limited lifetime.

WAY better than expected
I like to cook. I'm not much on fad kitchen items. Let me tell you, this product is as far from 'fad' as you can get. It is used at least 5 times a week in our kitchen. It cooks everything we've put in it BETTER than the oven, deep fryer, microwave or toaster oven. Most items cook faster and more evenly than the other cooking methods. As example, simple items like Pillsbury crescent rolls cook at a low heat (in air fryer) for about 6 minutes and taste WAY better than oven baked. With every success we've had using this air fryer, we keep trying anything else we can think of and haven't discovered a single item that isn't more tasty prepared in it.The capacity of this particular air fryer is huge. We also ordered a food rack that fits inside allowing for more food to be cooked at the same time without having to pile things up. Items that cook faster go on the rack, slower to cook on the bottom. Some 'trial and error' to work through, but I don't think we've lost a single food item to stupidity using this air fryer. Check while cooking and its obvious when its time to take something OUT of the air fryer Only note of caution: 350 degree setting on the air fryer is like 400 oven degrees.100% recommended!

Perfect for offices, beauty saloons, churches, and XXL families.
I request this product to do a review inspired by the end of year festivities. I was looking for a big numbers of invitees, hence the size of the thing.Well, goes without saying that this airfryer is huge! XXL for sure! Just the size of the box itself made my heart stop. I could not stop thinking, do I really need all this? Where I gonna put this?Well, in the end I did not used this airfryer. But I can see many spaces (if you family is not XXL) that this one can be a perfect match.Communal spaces in offices, churches, clinics, and even beauty places would benefit of it.You can easily prepare snacks for clients or to those meetings without much hassle and mess. Suggestion: Frozen brazilian cheese bread (pao de queijo) usually comes out great of airfryer and is a hit with multicultural crowds. As I look on where to storage this, I may give a try on the next party around here. Fries, anyone?
