Q: Is there a usb c version?

No, only the micro-use version. Thank you.

Q: I wanted to love this light given the minimalist mount to seat rails, bright, however, even w/full charge the light lasts only about 30 min. why?

Mine is a year old. I get about an hour run time. I use it daily and charge it every other day.

Q: For daylight riding, can it be set for flashing and still have the smart motion sensor feature?

Yes. All modes use the motion sensor auto-brake light feature. The auto-brake can be turned on and off globally for all modes: while the light is off, hold the button for five seconds (the light turns on after two seconds, but keep holding for five seconds). After five seconds, the light will either be steady on (auto brake feature is now on) or flashing (auto brake feature is now off). Release the button and the setting is now saved. Repeat the process to toggle the setting again.
