Great press for leather working. I use it for installing rivets and snaps the most and it works great.

I saw people's reviews: if you have difficult adjusting first please go to YouTube and watch video on how to adjust a Leather Punch Press.. makes difference. I had a much expensive press and sold it cause I decided to stop doing leather here 2 years later I buy this one. Thier all hard to adjust only thing this one isn't as Shiney doesn't have measuring plate ( however it shows it in one pic) I just added a medal sticable ruler at bottom. It's absolutely worth the money !

Good product, for the price, probably should give it a 5. there is a small problem with the way the press actuates. right near the bottom of the path, the moving tool/chuck clicks a little to the left. so, if you set up the height to press your material when the actuation is mid-stroke, it's fine. This creates an inconvenient reset anytime you change tools because you have to get the height just right.

This is what I have been looking for - good product - easy to use.

This press is very stiff. It's heavy duty but very hard to adjust up and down. Very difficult to use. There is no ruler grid. I sent it back.

All of the small bolts and screws were rusty, one corner of the pressing plate was damaged (given how well it was shipped, I suspect the product was previously used and returned), and the pressing plate was unlevel compared to the base plate (which also had a lot of defects and was not truly flat). The pressing plate was off by more than a quarter of an inch between sides, with no change no matter how I tried to adjust it, making the machine completely useless. Additionally, there was no manual or product information provided, either with the machine or in the Amazon listing.

I’ve been tinkering with leather projects for a bit now. Have managed to pump a few out the door. The one area that is constantly a challenge is keeping my sinabroks 10 hole pricking irons true (exactly 90 degrees) when punching holes. When going through several layers the top will be perfect. The underside has been very difficult to keep directly onto of my wing divider lines. As punching holes is the last thing to do before stitching. I’ve lost a few projects and he’s very frustrating that hours of work down the drain. Well, the solution is this press. Hesitant at first, the chuck is able to have my pricking irons and tighten nicely. Some minor adjustments, didnt come with Allen wrench for height adjustment (not end of the world) and set the height for the specific project I was on. Punched through 7oz of leather with ease. Holes dead true on both sides. Brilliant tool. Well done! Save yourself hours of wasted time and lost material. (Double check your irons handle will fit in chuck)
