My personal opinion and usage:I use a Hasegawa TT-1 scriber (conical tip) to gently lay in the path, or the back of a slightly used Xacto blade (i.e. tip snapped off to give a chisel edge). Going from almost no pressure to slight pressure to get a groove that the chisels reviewed here can catch in.I found laying in the initial scribing path with these chisels a bit more of a wobbly experience. Your experience may differ.Once the path is laid in tho, these chisels excell!Angling the tip nearly vertical, the scribe is clean and sharp. The draw is smooth, unlike other rough cheapo chisels (and I don’t want to spend more time stoning and case hardening the cruddy things). The end result needs little further processing, just a 1500 grit sand and Tamiya extra thin glue to smooth out the trench. These things are quality and I recommend them.Hacky tip: Shaft won’t quite fit in an Xacto like handle, so I drilled out the center hole a bit more in the brass chuck to get the working edge closer to my hand for a lot more control.

Great product for the price
Works really good - feels very good - sharpness was great though i replaced the blade with something more expensive and durable. Great value for the money, the grip is very nice. This is my go-to scribe. The cap also is very satisfying to put on and off as it has a very secure grip when put on. Makes a nice little sound when you take it on and off.

Stedi scribe is indispensible
Super high quality. Detailing models is a snap. Only down side is fragility: for heavy scribing, use a cheap scribe or hobby knife to get it started. Don’t force the tip: they break off if you work them too hard.

Works as advertised with one quirk
Works really well scribing panel lines in my model planes but has one quirk. There is a nut at the end of the stylus that is constantly coming unscrewed. I don't know what it is even there for, I thought maybe to hold extra tips? Anyway, it is annoying that it is always loose, but without it, the stylus is a bit short. The business end works great and is very sharp and should last a long time.

Stedi is slowly becoming my go to.
Great scriber, coming from a beginner, this has helped me deepen my lines for panel lining and I’m not disappointed at all. Very durable, easy to handle good price for the quality and very sharp.
