These laces are just what I needed. I bought them to replace the set that came with a pair of work boots that I got at Ross about a year and a half ago. Those laces began to fray months ago and the sheath finally tore right off a couple weeks ago, exposing the core.The first time I tied my boots with these new replacement laces, I noticed something I hadn't even thought about with my old pair. I buy these boot laces and use them like small lengths of rope for all kinds of things. I even occasionally use them for their intended purpose as boot laces. My point here is these are very well made, very durable, weather resistant and lightweight. They are useful for backpack tie downs, lanyards, gear carrying loops, equipment repair and other uses where you need something thicker than string but smaller than a piece of rope. The bright colors are also nice when used for something that needs to be easily located. To be clear, I'm NOT suggesting these for any use where weight bearing and safety are involved. And again, they excellent boot laces.

Nice quality, arrived fast and a great price. They fit my old redwing boots perfectly. Plus they seem very well made. Only had them on the boots a few days but so far, five stars!!

Bought these to use in a tote as a drawstring closure. They work perfectly! The variety of colors made it easy to match the fabrics used in my tote.

They are lasting very well, I use them in my hiking boots. They do the job.

Perfect size and quality is really good. One month passed and I am using these laces. These are good of quality.

Unfortunately, one of the laces came faulty upon arrival. As you can see from the image - the plastic at one end of one of the laces was not "soldered" on correctly (as though it hadn't been heated and properly sealed onto the lace). This meant that I couldn't properly tie my boots, so these had to be returned to Amazon. Waste of time! Hopefully I will receive a refund, but nevertheless, very disappointed - given they were $20 and supposedly "heavy duty and durable". This may have been a one-off, but just be warned!
