STARWORK TRUE MECHANIC 312-Piece

There is a particular “WOW” factor with the packaging of this tool set. The black finish with the gold ratchets against the background of a sturdy red case impressed me. I already have a black chrome “Hu$!’y” tool set in a very nice black rollaway. This set is 312 bling tools in a bling carry case. The “Vice-Grip” pliers adjust automatically without the need to tighten or loosen a knurled knob. Very cool. The “channel-lock” like pliers use a button-lock to adjust. Press the button and adjust. Time will tell if the finish is questionable but a quality thermo paint will cover up any scratches and last a long time.

Excellent tool set only thing I added was a set fof automobile hammers one is a strong mallet the other size of regular hammer strong rubberized material 16.00 off amazon and a large crescent wrench. I have already taken my motorcycle completely apart and loctied everything not to mention installed loft kit, light rack and oil change to my vehicle. No need for bulky kit this thing is heavy 120 click rachets allow for movement in tight spot. One complaint but not and issue. The smaller socket dont stay in place with small piece black foam. So I got a I inch piece traced it out problem fixed they are beautiful to look at too motivated for me.

Great value, this kit is has an extremely comprehensive set of tools that will cover most of your automotive repairs & a lot of house work in one box. This is a great kit for anyone, professional or non, that wants their bases covered in terms of most household or automotive repairs. The socket set is excellent - ratchets are smooth & sturdy, sockets clearly labeled with white text on the black plating, & having a full set of both metric & sae will keep your bases covered for most tasks; I wish they sold this individually. I'm not a fan of the wrenches or screwdrivers though they are sturdy & will get the job done. The wrenches are flat with no 15 degree offset and they don't have that white labeling that sticks out that the sockets do that make them fast to identify. Diagonal clippers, needle nose pliers seem fine, I'll rarely use them but they do seem sturdy, capable, & well made. The self-adjusting locking plier is excellent, allen wrenches are solid. This is heavy but again, its one tool box that covers a lot of tasks. I wish they broke this into modular compartments so you could take what need. Again, overall great value that will get your basics done, definitely recommend it

I have never been more conflicted about a product I've purchased on amazon before. There are some GREAT things, but also some really odd decisions that did not land at all. I'll list some here: -The blow molded plastic case feels really solid, the hinges are good, all is good with the exception of the clips that hold it shut. They are very low quality plastic and I've already broken one. I see myself holding the entire case shut with a bungee a couple months from now. -Every single 1/2" drive socket is 12pt. Half inch drive is made to take more torque than 3/8ths, yet they went with 12pt sockets which have a habit of stripping high torque fasteners vs. 6pt. Why?? I've never seen a 22mm 12pt fastener, and usually big bolts like that are accessible enough you dont need the flexibility of a 12pt. -The channel locks/groove joint pliers are designed in such a way that they have a "hard stop" meaning that you can't "squeeze" whatever you are gripping with them. I've never seen channel locks designed this way and thats for good reason, they dont work well. -There are 21/22mm sockets, but they are shallow and will not fit over the studs for light duty truck lug nuts. The largest deep socket is 17mm. Also all the deep sockets are 3/8ths drive. -included are diagonal cutters, and small bolt cutters, but the small bolt cutters aren't really all that more capable of cutting things than the diagonal cutters. -Every socket has a stamped manufacture mark, so they are capable of stamping, but the size markings are painted on. I have a feeling this will rub off after some moderate use. Not all is bad though, there are some great things: -the auto-sizing vise grips are very cool and seem to work well as long as you have the space. I'll probably purchase a separate set of these. -the multi-size pass through wrenches seem gimicky but have actually been pretty useful doing little things around an engine bay where sometimes one thing will be held down by three different size fasteners. -there are an excessive amount of screwdrivers and bit drivers. They coulda gotten away with just including 1 multi-bit driver but instead have a dedicated Philips and flat head, and two 1/4" bit drivers. -there is basically every size of socket included under 1/2"/13mm, some of which I didnt even know where real sizes, like 5.5mm. The only skips are in the larger sizes. If I were to redesign this product I'd remove some of the weird oddball things like the bolt cutters and extra screw drivers and replace them with a couple more larger size deep 1/2" drive sockets. I'd also improve the latching system of the case using metal latches or at least a quality of plastic on par with the rest of the case. Overall I think you get what you pay for though.

The amount of tools provided was great. Very durable even with all the repairs I have done in the winter:)

When I opened the box all the tools where in their correct places, nothing has fallen out. All the tools are well made and have a premium feel and look to them. A great buy.

Good value for money. Almost everything you should need in one box...

普段海外製のヘリコプターの整備をしており、インチ工具が必要で色々なサイズを単品で買っていました。 そのためソケットとか綺麗に整頓するのが難しかったのですが、こちらは必要なものは一通り揃ってる上に綺麗に整頓でき満足しています。

Cet ensemble d'outillage est particulièrement complet avec des douilles jusqu'à 32 mm, des clés mixtes à cliquet jusqu'à 19 mm et des dizaines d'embouts de tournevis dans de nombreuses tailles et formes, y compris des empreintes de sécurité. À noter que les douilles ont un profil type OGV (pour réduire les contraintes sur les arrêtes des écrous) et sont pour la plupart disponibles dans les 3 séries (1/4, 3/8 et 1/2) ce qui est indispensable lorsqu'on souhaite serrer ou desserrer un axe dont la tête et l'écrou sont de taille identique. Concernant les cliquets, ils possèdes tous les 3 un angle de reprise très faible de 4° (90T = 90 dents par tour) permettant de les utiliser même dans espaces très restreints, comme dans un compartiment moteur par exemple. Pour les clé mixtes à cliquet, cet angle de reprise descend même à 3° (120T), ce qui garantit un serrage ultra rapide et moins de fatigue (évite la multiplication des gestes inutiles). Contrairement à d'autres marques, la taille des douilles est ici gravée au laser sur le revêtement noir pour une meilleure lisibilité dans tous les environnements lumineux. Attention cependant, autant cette mallette est complète, autant elle est plutôt massive (environ 56 x 40 x 12 cm) et franchement lourde (14 kg). Comparée à celle que je possédais déjà, c'est un mastodonte ! Hors de question de la mettre dans un sac à dos comme j'ai l'habitude de le faire quand je pars en dépannage. Elle sera donc en priorité destinée à rester à l'atelier. Le seul point que je n'ai pas encore pu tester de façon extensive est leur solidité, n'étant pas encore tombé sur un écrou particulièrement récalcitrant. Mais ayant l'habitude de travailler avec de l'outillage pro (Facom et Snap-On), ceux-là ont l'air particulièrement sérieux.
