Review of Clairol Professional BW2 Powder Lightener
I’ve used the Clairol BW2 Powder Lightener multiple times, and overall, it’s a solid choice for hair bleaching. It lifts color effectively and works quickly, especially when paired with a 30 or 40 volume developer. The powder is fine and mixes well, creating a smooth consistency that’s easy to apply. One of the standout features is its strength—this bleach is powerful, so it’s great for achieving high lift results. However, that also means it can be a bit harsh. I’d recommend doing a strand test first, especially if you have a sensitive scalp. The smell is strong, like most bleach powders, so good ventilation is a must.A little goes a long way, making it cost-effective, and I appreciate that it doesn’t dry out too fast during application. That being said, timing is crucial—leaving it on too long can cause dryness or damage. I always follow up with a deep conditioner to keep my hair healthy.Overall, BW2 is a reliable and affordable option for bleaching, whether you’re doing a full lift or just highlights. Just be cautious with processing time and always use proper hair care afterward.

The only bleach I use 💋
I recently used BW2 Bleach on a synthetic wig, and I’m really impressed with how it turned out! The bleach worked effectively to lighten the wig’s color, giving it a more natural, vibrant look. The powder mixed well with the developer, and I was able to achieve an even lift without damaging the fibers too much. While it's typically used for natural hair, I found it worked quite well on the wig, as long as I kept a close eye on the process and didn’t leave it on for too long. The results were great — the wig ended up with a beautiful, lighter tone and a more natural appearance. Just be sure to test a small section first if you’re working with synthetic hair, as results can vary. Overall, BW2 Bleach is a fantastic option for those looking to refresh or lighten a wig!

No developer
Only bleach powder; no developer, but I bought the developer. It takes 1 part bleach, and two part developer. I used the 20 developer. I did two mixing bowls. It did a great job. My hair turned honey blonde. Once it dried, I died it red. My hair came out great and it didn't damage my hair. 🤗

Decolorante
Excellent bleach, it cleared a lot and the best thing is that it didn't mistreat my hair very well

Evenly Distributes Color 🤍
Great product! I’ve been using the old formula for a year and this is my first time using the updated version. Color was more evenly distributed as advertised; I will be a returning customer. 🤍

Does its job (don’t use after red hair dye)
Does the job but I will say it wasn’t able to lift much of my faded red hair dye. I had used manic panic red dye a few months back used this to go purple, was left with orange-y colour on the older red parts. Otherwise does its job pretty well.
