no mess, light, easy to clean, comfy for my son
This seat is amazing! The splash guard works perfectly for my son, never a mess! With a different seat we had some splashes and clean up, but never with this one. I love it!

Potty seat
Fits the regular toilet seat well. Being able to hang it helps a lot. It doesn’t have to be on the counter or floor.

So far, so good!
Our son is 19 months old and started showing signs that he may be ready to start potty training. I wanted a seat that went on the existing toilet, rather than a separate training toilet. I chose this one because of the reviews, and because it looks sturdy, simple and easy to clean, and has a little shield for pee, which seemed like a handy feature when potty training a boy. We've been using it for about a week now -- we're not hard-core potty training yet; just introducing him to the concept. It's working well! I need to find a stepstool or something that's tall enough for his feet to reach while he's sitting on it. And I wish there were little handles or something on this, too, to stabilize him a little. He always seems a little freaked out when he first sits down, and I think he feels unstable up there, with nothing around him and nothing to hold onto. He's fine after a minute or two, though. We let him play with a toy or a book or something while he's up there, and he's fine. This little seat is also very easy to clean, and the opening is big enough so I don't have any trouble cleaning my son up while he's on it, but not so big that he's in any danger of falling through it. I bought a Command brand hook to stick to the side of the vanity to hang it on, rather than using the one that came with the seat -- I wasn't sure if that one would come off clean or not. My only other complaint is that the seat sticks to my son's legs a little, so when I lift him off up, the seat comes, too. Not a big deal, but that does seem to weird him out a little.

Perfect training seat for oblong toilets
I really wanted to teach our 2-year old son to use the toilet once not first on a plastic potty then again on a real toilet. The first step was finding the perfect seat for him that could fit onto our toilets. I bought another product first that claimed to be for oblong seats but it kept sliding and really scared our son away from the toilet. I took a break for a few months while trying to find another seat that would provide a more secure base for him and came across this one. It sits perfectly and doesn't slide or swing around and my son is confident using this. In less than 1 week, he was using the toilet successfully for #1 and #2.It is very easy to clean with a wipe or soap and water and so quick to place or remove for when he needs to use it or the adults need to use it. The hook to hang it is so neat and allows us to remove it when he goes to bed for the night, for example. We have had the hooks in place for a few months - one on a wooden surface and the other on wall - and neither has shown any signs of falling so far.The splash guard is a thoughtful design too because he doesn't always sit still when he does a #1 so that prevents urine from getting everywhere.I really love this toilet seat and would not hesitate to recommend to other parents. We place a basic step stool in front of the toilet for him to get up and it works well for us. We haven't tackled nighttime training just yet but when we do, we've got just the tool we need in this potty seat to get the job done!

Doesn’t Wobble and Kids Aren’t Scared to Use It
After trying almost every potty lid on the market, this one is by far our favorite. We first tried the flimsy plastic one with rubber cushion and it didn’t fit our oval toilet lid. It wobbled and slid back and forth on the toilet making my daughter scared to use the potty. Then we tried the step stool potty combo and it was too steep for my two year old to figure out; again, causing her to become scared of the toilet. We then used the Jool Baby portable suction cup lid, but the suctions stop working over time. We also used the ceramic toilet lid that you can lift if adults need to use the toilet, but it was not the correct size/ also a hassle to use. Finally found this lid and it’s perfect. My kids can take it on and off the toilet themselves and are totally comfortable getting a stool to get up onto the toilet because it doesn’t slip slide around. It’s sturdy and easy to remove. Love the hook that comes with it for storage. 10/10 recommend

Next best thing to a "built-in" child seat. Best for occasional use.
We use ours occasionally for when the grand kids visit. Other than the type of child toilet seat that actually is built-in to the adult seat (way better for everyday use but also more expensive), this one works well for what it is and is easy to install and remove for cleaning. You do have to find a place to store it when not in use.It is stiff enough, not too flimsy and does the job, so no complaints.

Fits well on oval seats, rocks on round seats because it is too long
This potty training seat fits well on the oval toilet seats, but now so great on the round ones. It rocks on the hinge of the round seats. To use it on round seats you have to lift the toilet seat and place it on the rim and not on the seat. It's a little too large for travel if you're going on an airplane, but for cars it is fine. The rubber grips the seat and keeps the seat from slipping.
