Works as intended. Maybe couse use some improvement?
Pretty nifty little bottle. Does a good job flushing out dirt, grime, and whatever else your poor bearings sucked inside this time. Comes with a small bottle of speed cream (good stuff), and a cool little sheet that tells you everything you need to know about how to clean bearings. I use denatured alcohol personally and have had solid results. It's simple, dries quickly, water free (advantage over rubbing alcohol) leaves no residue, pretty cheap... Just flammable that's all, it's marine stove fuel so, you know. My one comment with the cleaning unit is that the bottle doesn't recommend how much cleaner/solvent you should pour in. I've been filling it half way with good results, but the bottle is quite wide for how small the bearings are. Seems wasteful to have to use so much solvent per wash when half the amount would be adequate enough to clean everything. If the bottle were the same diameter as the cap, I think it would be so much better. Not only would you be able to use less cleaner/solvent per wash, the thinner diameter would direct the liquid towards the bearings better, making for a better clean. So yeah, it's good, it works, but could use improvement.

A thorough and simple way to clean bearings.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works great. This is my new go-to to clean bearings. Makes the process very easy and thorough.

Excellent cleaning tool!
For the money, this an excellent tool to clean skateboard and roller skate bearings! Comes with the assembled bottle, Bones Speed Cream bearing lubricant, and instructions. You will need to provide your own cleaning solution (amazed at how many other reviewers can't read). You should consider using either 1) 91% Isopropyl Alcohol. 2) Acetone (fingernail polish remover) or 3) M.E.K. (Methyl Ethyl Ketone) to clean your bearings, and avoid anything petroleum based, like WD-40 or CRC.

It works
Convenient and works really well. My bearings spin as if they are new.

Decent For Holding The Bearings While Cleaning But Wont Work Miracles On Worn Out Bearings
This is a decent product, but nothing special. It's well made and saves the hassle of making your own cleaning setup with a bottle, bolt and wingnut. I wasn't too impressed with it's function, although I used Isopropyl alcohol as recommended, which is not the best degreaser. Bones recommends a few other options. I highly recommend going with what they recommend so you don't damage your bearings and dust covers. Acetone is probably a good alternative to rubbing alcohol. I am disappointed with the speed "cream". There's no "cream" about it. It's nothing more than light weight oil, similar to sewing machine oil. Save yourself some money and buy sewing machine oil. One final bit of advice. This cleaning system is good for basic maintenance. It will not work miracles. Two of my three sets of bearings were already worn too much to be saved by a simple cleaning. I even took some of the bearings completely apart (balls, retainer cage, dust cover, inner and outer race...everything, fully disassembling the bearings to make sure I got all possible debris out of them. As you do tricks on your board that involve hard landings, the balls of the bearings will develop flat spots. It's normal wear. Once that occurs, the bearings are shot, no matter how many times you clean them. It works sort of OK. Would I buy it again? Probably not.

It's a simple but effective way to clean your bearings.
Probably the simplest way to clean a rack of eight bearings at a time. I used acetone but other people use alcohol. It all works. It's a bit messy, manual, and time consuming but the bottle doesn't leak. The product works perfectly. It's just a tine consuming process to clean bearings correctly.

A must for any person who enjoys sports with wheels!
I have used this product probably around three times now. I can compare this to a time where I never cleaned my bearings, and I must say: cleaning your bearings is must for any serious skateboarder. The life that you get out of making sure that your bearings are dirt free and lubricated is very much worth this product. Not only does the speed cream lubricate, but it is also pretty fast for being lubed up. People usually prefer riding dry because of course dry bearings spin the fastest, but this is a recipe for disaster. One day the bearings will lock up on you, so please lube them! The bottle is simple and effective. You mount the bearings on and give them a wash in a solvent (I use rubbing alcohol, works great!). I then blow them off on the stem with an air compressor, and proceed to lube. Just two drops on either side of the bearing and a good spin works great. Pop them back on, and you have a happy bearing that will life much longer! Great product. Works great, high suggested for any skateboard! (Or any sport that involved wheels)
