This thing is a MONSTER!
Dude its bigger than you think! Imagine a standard portable speaker, but for giants. THATS what this is. The power is absolutely BONKERS! My neighbors even yelled at me. And it was barely any volume! At max volume, its barely distorts! The software is a bit scrambled all over, the Ui on the app is an outdated feeling. And a couple weeks later, I FOUND OUT ITS SUPPORTED FOR LDAC! which is crazy for the size of this thing! Portability isn't very ergonomic because of how heavy it is. There probably are accessories for it so it helps with it, but oh well. Its good for the use. Charging speed is a little longer than most things I've charged. But who cares! This is a proper product from sony! This is why I trust sony in the deep of my heart. The fact its 45 watts max power is insane!! I like the light shows it has. I love how it literally syncs to the song itself! The light show colors are very vibrant. This is probably the most positive review I've laid my hands on. Absolute beast of a speaker! You can even use it as a guitar amplifier speaker if you wanted! And it still sounds good!

The Field 7 is the best large BT speaker to date.
I’m back with another speaker review, help, and Sony has really knocked it out of the park with this one. I’ve mainly used my Boombox 3 for comparison against the Sony Field 7, and while Theodore Roosevelt said, “Comparison is the thief of joy,” he wasn’t wrong—it’s tough to resist comparing speakers side by side. The only area where this Sony doesn’t excel is in the sub-45Hz range, though it still gives it a good try. While the Boombox 3 rumbles a bit more in that low-end, this Sony more than makes up for it in other areas. The ULT2 in this Sony decimates every portable system I’ve heard. The sound separation is fantastic, allowing every layer of your music to shine. Battery life is impressive, too. I left it unplugged for about a month, using it nightly for about an hour, and only after 30 days did the charge light come on. That’s serious endurance. The multipoint connection works seamlessly between my tablet and iPhone, making it one of the few systems that hasn’t caused me any frustration. The lighting is another standout feature—far brighter than I expected. Unlike the dim ring lights on the SRS 300, these lights provide enough glow to add some nice ambiance, though not quite enough to light up a room or throw a strobe party. And durability? It’s built like a tank. You could even turn it on its side and use it as a stool. Overall, this speaker delivers in almost every category, making it one of the best I’ve encountered.

Big ROBUST Sound!
This one is fantastic! So I've had the turtlebox, and I have the Monster. This one is hands down the best sound I've ever heard from a Bluetooth speaker! Big, Robust Sound with Good Bass and clear tones. It is heavy, but it sounds so good! You can also use a mic with this one, and the lights it plays on the end are super cool. I was comparing this one to the JBL Boombox, which I haven't heard, but I can tell you, this one is a keeper!

Perhaps a little toooo deep
I've previously used 4 sony Bluetooth speakers since a first try with a little SRS-XB32. I saw this become available at a good price after reading some good reviews and had the spare money to replace a big and nice sounding SRS-XG500 that I moved to another room. This is louder and defaults with much heavier bass than what it replaced. Sometimes I'll just be grooving with great music at a loud but not deafening level and the bass content is just too strong, almost shaking the room. Fine if it was a party perhaps but I think I had to tune it a little and take out some bass. However, it does sound great. The biggest criticisms are that Bluetooth is nice and tidy but it drops out a little for a beat occasionally. That's annoying and a wired speaker wouldn't do it. It doesn't sound like a mono source but there is little stereo width due to it all being in the one box, getting good stereo definition would require buying two and grouping them as a stereo pair, or you could keep your head a few inches from one (might as well buy headphones at the same price/quality). Plus, the Sony "Music Center" app for making configuration changes can be a pretty flaky, crashes all the time on one of my recent Samsung tablet models but not on the other. While I can create speaker groups it will only create a "party" group from two same speaker models. I have a pair of SRS-XG300 speakers and grouped as a "stereo" pair they fill a room with great stereo sound but I can't group one ULT Field 7 even with my SRS-XG500 as a "stereo" pair even though they have similar volume and sound. The built in lights are a nice party trick but not much use for anything else, they'll waste enough battery power that I don't normally bother. Non-flashing, calm daylight color can make a nice dark room background that's dimmer than a lamp and better power saving than room lights while reading a book from tablet but aren't bright enough to permit reading a paper book in a dark room.

Strong sound and battery
I "compared" this to JBL Boombox 3, and Soundcore Boom 2 Plus, via a handful of YouTube comparison videos. This Sony sounded the best to me via those videos. I've long been a JBL guy, but this Sony sounds better/great, at least as well as any other similar speaker I would find. Very strong, clear, and the bass boosts 1 and 2 are noticeable. Battery seems like it will last 12 hours under 1/2 to 2/3 volume, but I haven't used it a ton yet. Keeping it though for sure. Got it on "sale" for $369. Recommended.

Beats the competition
I've owned the JBL boombox 2 and 3. They both sound good. But I have to give it to the Sony hands down. The highs and mids and the bass are so smooth. It's perfect for any occasion. Just buy it already. You'll be the life of the party.
