Douwe Egberts Ground Coffee, Select Aroma, 8.8 Ounce

We first experienced this brand at the Honeywell Center years ago. This particular variety is the closest to the restaurant type of the several different retail Douwe Egbert types we've tried since then. Enjoy!

Bought as a gift for someone who loves the Douwe Egberts cafe coffee (the kind restaurants serve from the dispensary machines) She said this one taste real close to what she likes, so she's happy that she has something she can brew at home/office. I may have to get some just for myself to see.

Several years ago, they served this brand of coffee at an area casino. We asked what it was and where we could find it. They told us it was Douwe Egbert, and they received it in a liquid concentrate, so they weren't sure where to get it locally. We tracked it down online, but none of the flavors seem to come close to what we had commercially. Based on some of the reviews, we thought the Select Aroma might be the one, but while it wasn't bad, it's not the same.

Douwe Egbert is my favorite coffee. However, I have been looking for the flavor that commercial coffee makers make from Douwe Egbert. After searching for the correct flavor, this flavor as well as another flavor by Douwe Egbert was found to be the closest flavor to the commercial kind. Even though Douwe Egbert is my favorite all around coffee, the two flavors I ordered did not measure up to the commercial flavor.
