Very high quality ingredients, complete nutrition for superior health and color, rapidly sinks, does not disintegrate or pollute tank. Good shelf life. No fussing with mixing and refrigerating. Fish love it and eat it quickly. Healthy fish! Clean tank! More enjoyment of the little guys with less work than the other high-end feed I’ve used in the past. The medium sized pellets have a better recipe than the large size pellets and they sink far better. I’ve grown goldfish to a foot long on this in only a 75 gallon tank. It’s a healthy choice. I’m grateful to have this available through Amazon; it’s so easy to get it when I need it thru them.

My goldfish love these pellets! They are the perfect size and sink to the bottom easily. If you are unsure what size to get, the medium is a good bet - both my big and small goldfish can eat it without issue. This is my third time purchasing them from Amazon and they always arrive as fresh packages (expiry date 3 years in the future), so rest assured you will not get stale product. Because the pellets are smaller, you have to be careful not to over-feed your fish, otherwise the pellets will sink and get stuck in the substrate until your next cleaning. Although my goldfish will usually sift through the substrate and vacuum up any leftovers anyway :)

My fish love these! I feed them these along with flakes and they gobble up all the pellets before going for the flakes so they must be pretty good. I've been feeding them this brand of pellets for a few years and both my fish are in great health. One goldfish is 7 years old and about 10" long and he really goes crazy for these over any other food I've fed him.

I can only guess that the reason my oranda goldfish quadrupled in size over an 18-month period is due to this food. It's mind boggling how large my fish has grown. I had two of the arandas, one which I lost during a recent electrical outage that lasted several days, but if you look at the pictures of the size of my new fish, which has two orange dots, next to the fish that has grown so large, you can see the comparison. My original oranda was nearly half the size of my new fish in the image when I got him. I highly recommend this food, I haven't tasted it but the fish love it. It's very functional as I can reach into the container and drop a few pieces in the tank twice a day. The cap on the container keeps its airtight to prevent moisture from spoiling it but yet makes the food easily accessible. The cost is definitely worth it. If you want your fish to grow, this is the food to use.

Great food that really does give them an energy boost. I have 2, 6 inch goldies: one Comet and one Veil Tail that were feeder fish rescues. I did not know when we got them they Goldfish (carp) grow huge and live to age 40 years! The secret in keeping them in a normal household pet aquarium is the water depth not the length of the tank. NO more than 18" of water above their heads should keep them at about 6" in size which is big but beautiful. Mine are only 3 years old. I will have to will them to my kids! I first bought New Life Spectrum food because it had garlic and garlic is good for fish. Garlic in NOT good for cats and mine drinks out of the aquarium when she can. I run a FilStar filter without charcoal with only filter media and Bio media because I like to keep things simple. The garlic smell of the New Life is terrible unless you like garlic smell. My house near the tank smelled like a pizza parlor or Chinese Buffet! This is great food, I really like it and so do they. The loved the New Spectrum more than this but they are gobbling this up too. The pellets are a 3mm size which is great for 6" goldfish. The Tetra just got to be too small for them: it was like eating dust for them.
