I love that this bug zapper does not limit your placement due to needing an extension cord and/or electrical outlet. It's cordless, you can put it absolutely anywhere! It's rechargeable via USB-C, which is included. I love that you can turn the lights on or off at the top. You can choose from steady one color or steady all colors, or blinking. Unfortunately there's no fade from one color to the next. The fade is always my favorite, I'm not a fan of blinking.As far as zapping bugs, I've only used it twice. The first night it was not extremely buggy outside but it did zap those that were out. You can hear them get zapped, which I like to hear because then I know I'm not getting bitten/bothered by that bug. The second nigt there were hardly any bugs. Only heard it go off a handful of times. I'm taking it camping soon and can update my findings.The bottom screws off so you can easily dump out the dead bug bodies. It also comes with a small brush with a long handle. You can put the bristles of the brush through the grates on the side and wipe off any dead bugs that are stuck to the inside grate. I love that. It keeps the zappee looking clean.UPDATED REVIEW: I finally had an opportunity to use the bug zapper while camping. When I checked the bug zapper in the morning, much to my surprise, there were a lot of mosquitoes and moths in there. I was able to clean the ones that were stuck to the side with the brush. I love that it came with the brush to keep it looking clean.

We bought this for our house at night bugs managed to enter through the dog gate. This bug zapper battery last over night like we need. The noise is quiet unless you hear the zap of a bug.

does a great job with even the smallest flying insects, gnats, & fruit flies. only wish that it had a higher capacity battery as it only lasts an hour or two without being plugged in to charge

I bought this product for use on our patio since we seem to be inundated with flying insects. I have to say that we are pleasantly surprised with how well this bug zapper works! We just completed dinner on the patio while watching a ball game on the TV, and with this bug zapper, they totally stayed off us and our foodIt is very easy to use and I like that it is rechargeable. I highly recommend it.

This bug zapper has a very short battery life, less than 3 hours in bug zapping only mode. I haven’t tried with both bug zapping and ambient lighting mode on together but I would imagine battery life would be even less then. It does seem to be effective at attracting flying insects before the battery runs out.

It's a great bug zapper. It worked very well. There is a rechargeable battery, so no electrical outlet is required. Hang it near the garden for one night and it kills many mosquitoes and gnats. The zapper is well-made and beautiful. It's slim and portable. I like this design. I will take it to camp outdoors.The only improvement is the addition of a slot to store the cleaning brush. I temporarily attached a small zipper to the frame and inserted the brush into it for storage.This is recommended if you have a problem with mosquitoes or other insects that fly at night.
