Got the cable 3 months ago and had been using to connect my MacBook Air with the my LG 4k monitor. It had been working seamlessly all the time until about 3 days ago, when the monitor stopped displaying the content when connected to my Mac. Had tried using a different laptop but had the same effect. Finally, confirmed that it was a cable issue after i had used an HDMI cable to connect my Mac and monitor and the displays worked fine. Reached out to CableCreations support regarding the issue and they were prompt with their responses. Eventually, they provided a 100% cashback as it was a hardware issue on their side and they couldn't offer a replacement. Full marks to the outside sales support.

The product was working fine initially. However it stopped working after 8 months even after careful use. Edit: The cable creation team reached out to me and helped me with the refund on a fair condition to buy another same product which resolved my issue. I had a good customer support experience with cable creation team.

I purchases this cable for my Asus TUF laptop with a Type-C display out, and I am pleased to say that it works perfectly as intended. My monitor is running at 1080p 144Hz and G-Sync works as well. No complaints with the cable quality as well. The monitor flickers a couple of times when switching displays, but that could very well be a driver level issue, and nothing to worry about. A bit on the pricey side, hopefully these cables become less expensive as DisplayPort is more widely adopted.

I connected my PC with RTX 3070's Display Port to my monitor Gigabyte M28U's USB-C port using this cable. It is actually working on 4K 120hz at 10-bit color. Clearly, this cable is DP 1.4 capable and does it's magic due to DSC (Display Stream Compression). I was also able to connect my iPad 2021 Pro's USB-C port to M28U's Display Port to get Display mirroring. So the claim that this cable is Bi-directional stands true. I also tested 4K 144Hz YCbCr 444 at 10-bit and 12-bit color and this cable has the bandwidth to sustain such high requirements be it gamers or professionals who know their stuff. That's all there is to this cable really. Cable does feel strong and sturdy. 1st cable which arrived was faulty. Just refused to work whatsoever. But amazon provided a replacement and that is working as expected. Just test it out by yourself in your return period and don't assume it will work for you.

My old gaming lappy had a mini display port adapter and it worked great carrying 2k 144Hz to my 32" LG monitor, but I moved to a new Alienware that only had an HDMI or a type C. The HDMI cables I had lying around at home could only do 100Hz at 2k, so I needed an upgrade. Decided to future proof and get 8k capability, and this cable seems to do the job well. It is braided and shielded, with a decent plug on either side. Do note that the end that connects to the display port is fairly beefy and is perpendicular (as all connectors usually are) to the slot, so you will need that much space in case your display does not have a side port. Rest durability etc will have to wait and see. This is a review after 15 odd days of use.

Gives 165hz at 2560x1440p with my LG UltraGear 27GR75Q without any issues, can keep up extended displays both at 2k 165hz. At this price point this is the best you can get!! EDIT - Appreciation for Cable Creation Team! After 11 months the cable stopped working, but the CC Team was amazing in customer support - their prompt responses and quick action resolved my issue within a couple of days. They replaced it with a new one as it was under 24 months warranty period. Just connect with them over email - [email protected] or [email protected] and they'll sort it out!

Works as intended. Able to easily plug to different device due to usb c connection. Got full 10-bit and higher refresh rate from monitor compared to HDMI.
