Nice thick square. Not easy to bend when pulling in and out of the tool box every day. Easy to read very sturdy and light.

As soon as I found out about a thicker square I bought one.I use aluminum squares only for layout and I use steel squares for the rough stuff. This thicker square makes me less paranoid of damaging it.But you need to know one thing: standard stair guages just barely fit onto it and you shouldn't be using them anyway because they are not accurate for rafters or stairs.Starrett makes what you need, #111 rafter and stair gauges. I breathe easier now knowing that my square won't bend if I tap on it! This square comes with rafter tables,brace measures,board feet measures and octagon scales.The body and tongue are marked off in 8ths,10ths,12ths and 16ths. All markings are very legible.The aluminum is very bright which makes is appealing in my opinion. And it will never rust! Well worth the money.

As a carpenter that's getting up there in years, I'm finding easily visible tools are extremely important to me. The colors on this are very friendly towards my aging eyes. Other than color, it's a framing square...

Very well made, easy to read numbers and you don't have to worry about rust.

Bought to use for a saw table sled - yet to get to make - with this being made in aluminium. Also bought a steel one at the same time to use in the workshop. Tested both against each other and any discrepancies - if any! - are extremely difficult to detect. Markings are etched in to the surface - imperial one side and metric the other. What I didn't like was the size of box and amount of packing used by Amazon: about 36 to 40 feet of brown paper in a box 750 x 500 x 100. ALSO that the driver didn't wait at the door to see me collect it - just drove away... I may not have been in.

It's a square, so not much to say. It's price was right, which is great in this economy. It's true, no weird miscalculations like some cheap ones that aren't quite right. It's a square, and affordable. I'm pleased.

Good quality steel not aluminum and easy to read

Wanted a solid square,built to last. Swanson is superb,just like the smaller squares. Not available in UK so went hunting on the net. Great service from USA to UK. Highly recommend both item and seller. Cheers Nick
