Worked perfectly!
So much easier than a hair dryer or heat gun-and without the damage to sensitive components by overheating (which is easy to do with a heat gun!). It made the repair of my DIL iPhone faster and less stressful. Well worth it as I usually have to fix 1-2 family phones a year…

Great
If you know how to work on phone screens then you will want this.. it helps loosen up the adhesive so the phone separates easy. This made it so much easier replacing screens on my kids phones.

Minimal design, Easy to use, Sharp edges on platform,
Device is properly grounded. Input is properly fused. In operation the sides of the case barely get warm. The top platform is a bit rough cut and has some sharp edges. The silicone pad doesn't cover the top platform completely. It seems big enough for most phones, but probably not for 7"+ tablets. With a power meter I watched the power draw. I powered it with 120V. I had the device set to maximum temperature. At power on it quickly ramps up, and I saw a maximum draw of 300W. As quickly as this was reached it started slowly dropping down. It took about 2.5 minutes before I saw it settle back down to oscillating around 30-60W to keep the plate at temperature. I measured the temperature at a few different settings with an IR thermometer pointed at the silicon pad. Overall a few degrees low, but close enough. Minimum Center: 54C Edge: 47C 60C Center: 57C Edge: 52C 100C Center: 102C Edge: 90C Maximum Center: 114C Edge: 103C The unit weighs about 920g (2 lbs). == Internals == Inside the unit was fairly empty. There is just a small module attached to the front knob, and the rest is just wiring between components. The temperature control circuit looks to consist of a thermistor under the top plate and an LM358. There's a potentiometer inside, and the knob on the front. A small AC-DC module sits on a secondary board. The main load is switched by a BT137-800D triac.
