A Rite of Passage Girls Relate to!
Never have I felt more seen than witnessing the struggles of this young teen learning how to make friends and adapt to a new culture. Navigating misunderstandings, menstrual pain, and crushes, along with school life...this really is a golden example for younger generations that didn't have such candid honesty when we were that young. I look forward to seeing more of Lia as she grows throughout the years until she is the established artist we know she will be! I absolutely loved it.

Surprisingly good!
I had no idea what this book was about or that it was comic book style. My daughter wanted this book because she saw it at her school book fair. I purchased it on amazon because it was way cheaper than the fair. This book is about a girl that faces the struggles of moving and going to a new school, and experiences the gift of Mother Nature. This really resonated with my daughter since we just moved and sheās the new girl at school. We havenāt started our period yet over here but this was a nice way to introduce it. My daughter really enjoyed the book and all the different languages within it. The back of the book has a glossary so you know what all the French, Romanian, and Chinese words mean.
