The fan arrives in a compact box, well packed, but stuffed full of plastic foam. The gold colour is a little more matt than the photo, looking somewhat like satin old gold. The remote is similar to the one shown in the photo, but it is colour coded. Quite nice. The buttons are rubbery, so it's a reasonable quality remote. The blades are wood, although I bought the white bladed version so I couldn't tell you if they are real wood or composite. They are very light. With a ceiling fan, I think that preparation is the key. If you just buy a fan without properly preparing the location then it’s going to be really frustrating. Where I wanted the fan there was nothing to attach it to, so the first task was to build a thick wood tray, secured firmly between the nearest two joists above the ceiling. Once that was done, drill a hole in the middle and run a mains cable through in to the room below. Below, I usually fit a wooden rose so there is a really solid base for the fan. Anyway, once the fan arrives it’s a really quick job to fit. There aren’t many instructions in the box, but there is an installation video on Amazon .. that’s is all you need. Basically, you fix a bracket to the ceiling, then assemble the fan on to that bracket. The most difficult part was getting the wall bracket for the remote straight. Incidentally, you need a 5mm masonry drill for their rawlplug and possibly a small piece of dowel to knock it in. It was quite tight. It’s a good idea to wear cotton gloves during some of the assembly to avoid getting fingerprints all over the fan. The fan is quiet and works well. It’s pretty much silent at low speeds, which makes it ideal for positioning over a bed. At higher speeds you can only hear the woosh of the blades. It’s not the most powerful fan, but I think it gets the balance right. It’s powerful but never makes too much noise. There are plenty of other fans on Amazon that won’t go down low enough so create a gale and are always wooshy. DC fans, by the way, are so much quieter than AC fans and this one is no exception. There is no mains hum from it at all, which you would expect from an AC fan. As yet, I have not tried to connect it to the wifi. Instructions for this are on a single separate sheet in the box. I would certainly buy another. Recommended.

The reviews say this fan is difficult to fit, instructions aren't clear, etc. That was not my experience, instructions are easy to follow, it's easy to fit (1hr) and it works great. It's very quiet and produces lots of airflow, even at low speeds. The light is an added bonus and works well, also adjustable, in intensity and also colour variance - white light or day light. Highly recommend.

Very quiet, easy to install after a good read of the instruction and inspection of the parts. Worth paying a little extra as it looks good and the quality of materials are high. Connection to the app is handy too.

fantastic fans work so well and so silent and smooth running

The fan is great . Quiet and powerful . But 1. However the instructions were written by someone who clearly had a very good afternoon and probably evening in the pub 2. Getting the smart unit and cables into the top make an exercise in the krypton factor look easy ..clearly added as an after thought The Tuya integration works well - and I was able to integrate into home assistant very easily .

Installation took 90 mins. Written instructions are poor , but look at the Amazon advert pictures, and you'll find video instructions which are slightly better. I can confirm it is very quiet, and is highly effective. Getting Alexa to operate it slightly baffles me as to how to change fan speed and lamp brightness. Each setting seems to need its own separate Alexa instruction, but i may be over complicating it. Remote works perfectly though. I'm pleased with it, and I'll probably buy another soon. Recommended.
