It's recommended that a teaspoon of seeds be crushed, simmered in water for 15 minutes, then made into a tea. However, I read that to get the full benefits there's another approach. I toast a small cup full in a pan for around three minutes and after cooling, grind them in a small coffee grinder into a fine powder.The powder has a delicious roasted nutty aroma with a nutty and slightly bitter flavour, but very palatable. This can then be sprinkled over most foods, savoury or sweet. The seeds are very hard so this takes the laborious work out of crushing by hand.They are also full of fibre so the powdered form is a good way to incorporate it into your daily routine. The rest can be stored in a lidded container but not kept too long to preserve the freshness. Bonus points for no contain any additives and being vegan friendly. They come in a self seal, foil lined pouch which reseals well.

Good quality and good price

I tried as recommended taking some, grinding them in a pestle and the putting in my loose tea set for 10 minutes. Hardly any taste of anything came off them. I will try more but I am not sure they are viable.
