I ordered these LUXEAR Cooling Pillow Cases, 2 Pack Queen Size Arc-Chill Q-max > 0.5 Gradient Cool Pillowcases for my husband to use this summer.Both my husband and I tend to sleep warm, he sometimes wakes up dripping wet. A few months ago I got him a lightweight comforter made of a similar Q-Max cooling fabric, and he loves sleeping under the Q-Max fabric. So I’ve been looking for a set of pillow cases that would be cooling that he could use this summer.The pillow cases I received measured about 28” x 20”. Our queen size pillows fit easily into the pillow cases. My husband uses fairly thick memory foam pillows, the pillow cases fit them nicely.My husband uses one memory foam pillow under his head and one between his knees and calves. He said that the fabric felt smooth to the touch, and that it stayed cool all night.The fabric in these pillowcases is a bit sturdier than the fabric in his Q-Max comforter. That feels like a puffy cloud, but these pillowcases feel smooth to the touch. The fabric is manmade, the sales page says it has a thread count of 1800, which is quite high. These don’t feel like a high thread count cotton, but they are a manmade fabric, They definitely feel cool to the touch.Each pillowcase has a hidden zipper. I ordered these in grey, the pillow covers have a sort of ombré effect, fading from a dark grey to a light grey. They look great with our bed linens, which are pale grey with pink throw pillows.When I received these, they were off-gassing, the smell was fairly strong. We hung them in our yard for an afternoon and the scent dissipated quickly.The Japanese Q-max > 0.5 Arc-Chill cooling fibers help keep these pillow cool through the night. The fabric is certified by OEKO-TEX 100. My husband found these comfortable to sleep on.These are ideal for summer, we tend to kick off our covers while sleeping when we get too warm, and summer is when we overheat the most. My husband finds them relaxing and cooling.I’ve been washing these on delicate/cold and hanging them to dry. They dry quickly.LUXEAR cooling pillowcases come in a set of two. The 1800 thread count Q-Max fabric is cool to the touch and stays cool through the night. The grey ombré effect is attractive, the zippered cases easily fit our thick memory foam pillows.

Not as cool than I thought it would be. Staying in one position for a longer time still makes your head warm or even hot if but you have to change and move your pillow around. It's probably better to get a cooling pillow instead of a regular pillow for these pillow cases to work properly.

She's battled with getting to hot when sleeping at night for past few years, and has tried several different things, including different type sheets, bedspreads & etc., but all unsuccessful.After seeing these pillow cases and reading about the Arc-Chill Cooling Technology and designed to keep one cool at night while sleeping, along with the 1,800 thread count, I had to order these and did.We both knew upon receiving that they would make a big difference and they sure did. We both love these pillow cases. These have an amazing feel and very soft, smooth texture. Even just feeling them with your hands, you can feel the "coolness" in the material!!. These have really honestly helped my wife.Over past few years, she ALWAYS wakes up in middle of the night and ask me to bring her "cold water or juice" so she can cool off, then go back to sleep for a while. Then, few hrs later she's back up, same story, burning up. Since receiving these, she never wakes up any more. She sleeps the whole night (unless to BR) and no more request for a "cold drink". I love these too, because I sleep with a Bi-Pap machine and get hot around my neck/chest area at times. Same story for me. No more getting hot at night since we started using these pillow cases. Each and every night, I still think about how "cool these feel" versus a regular pillow case. They are very comfortable to just lay your head down on and relax after a long day.Also, she has kept these on our bed since receiving and washes them every few days and puts them right back on our bed. I love this set of pillow cases!!! I tend to get very hot at night sleeping and for me the worst is when my pillow gets hot. This set helps with that so much.There was a slight odor when i opened the package but after 10 minutes the odor went away. They wash up well on delicate cycle and then I air dried them, which is my preference.This set of pillow cases keeps my pillow and my head cool at night, which means I sleep better. I also really like the design and so does my daughter, she took one of the cases for herself :). The design will also be nice traveling as it stands out from hotel pillows so I will make sure to never leave my pillow behind (yes that has happened before.)Is this set worth the price of $17.99? For me, YES because sleeping well at night is everything to me. I spend a lot of money on my bedding to reduce how hot I get at night so for me this set is well worth the money.

The pillow covers are smooth and feel comfortable to lay on. The zipper closure functions smoothly and keeps the cover securely on the pillow. While the pillowcase initially feels cool when you lay down, I have not found that these pillow cases have a cooling effect after laying on the pillow for a period of time.

I picked these up because I am always too warm and my wife is always too cold so the compromise means shes using a heated blanket and I try to stay cool. These do keep my head a bit cooler but they are not a miracle pillow case. they do a nice job as I am not sweating onto the pillow cases or at least I have not seen any in the mornings after I get up. As a huge added bonus, they zip shut. The material is a little slippery so I would expect these to slide off of the pillow. I have a molded memory foam pillow that REFUSES to stay in any of the pillow cases I own so every single morning the pillow case is halfway off the pillow...until I got these. I love that the pillow case stays on the molded/shaped/ergo memory foam pillows. Well worth it just for that reason but the cooling effect was noticeable.
