Love this stuff, its perfect in the summer. You can reshape your hair, and it will hold for a good amount of time.

I couldn't be more delighted with my recent purchase of this clay pomade for my 9-year-old son. He's quite attached to his long, thick, and coarse hair (check out the image to see what I mean), and we've been on a quest to find a product that could make it more manageable and keep it out of his face.After trying out several products, I can confidently say that this one has stolen the show as our absolute favorite. The texture is wonderfully smooth, and there's no unpleasant sticky feeling to deal with. We were hoping it would do a good job of keeping his hair in place, and it does exactly that - no more hair in his eyes!What's even better is the creative potential this pomade unlocks. My son and I had a blast experimenting with different hairstyles, and we were amazed at how easy it was to achieve the looks we wanted while keeping his hair neatly in check.Finding the right product for thick and coarse hair can be quite the challenge, but this one was a delightful surprise. It's cool, it works like a charm, and we're both absolutely hooked. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I've become a regular customer now. This pomade has definitely earned a permanent spot in our hair care routine!

Bought this for my partner as a nontoxic option and it works great, looks great! He loves it. No synthetic fragrances.

Pros and cons: pros outweigh the cons so I'll start with the cons.Con: not always available. Sometimes takes forever to arrive. So I know that's not a con on the product because there really isn't one with short hair. I guess the con is that it isn't for hair length beyond pixie length.Pros: I have extremely great, thick, very straight hair. It's so thick that hair dressers are amazed at the quantity. I have two possibly 3 cowlicks.This product works with wet or dry hair. It's flexible and somehow stiff at the same time. My hair stays in the same idea until it gets wet. I spike it in a mohawk or have surfer hair. I ride a bicycle around town with a helmet and it still stays after it has been set. My hair moves when you touch it but bounces back unlike when I used got to be glued (do love the stuff for a different hairstyle). Doesn't get greasy even after 3 days of not washing.If you have used a wax but wish it had the hold of of glue, this is a product for you.Did not get paid for this review, but if the company wants to send some extra product I wouldn't turn it away.

Maybe it's a bit early for me to be rating this product 5 stars, but with every other hair product I've used, I know whether I like or dislike something about it within a few days; at this point in time, I can definitely say this is the best pomade I've used to date. I have tried at least 5 other brands, all water-based, some of which were medium hold and some strong hold. This claims to be a medium hold product but held up better throughout the day than Imperial's strong hold pomade. I was exposed to heat, humidity, and cold all in one day. None of the other stuff I've used has ever come out looking the way Byrd did by the end of the day.Every brand has their own scent added to their product, and this one is, again, the best in that regard. It is very subtle and unique, and you won't smell it unless you're up close. A plus in my opinion, as every other product I've used, was perceptible from a distance, like cologne. The finish is definitely matte as the packaging suggests. The finish a hair product leaves in my hair is something I'm very picky about. Despite claiming to be low shine, Imperial's pomade left my hair looking clumpy and wet like a gel. Byrd's pomade looks very natural, almost like you aren't using any product at all. I've also used Suavecito's matte product. Byrd's pomade is much easier to work through your hair and seems to have a much stronger hold.This is a great product so far. I haven't found anything to dislike about it so far. If I do, I'll update the review.
