Hard to know.
My husband has disturbed sleep patterns due to many years of shift work. He's tried many different things to help improve his sleep and most work to one degree or another - hops, lavender, montmorency cherry, magnesium, drinking warm milk, a humidifier in the room but valerian is a new one.The tablets are actually tablets - most sleep aids seem to be capsules, but they're small and smooth enough to swallow easily. NOTE - there are a lot of filler ingredients that aren't noted on the listing or the box though they are there in the instruction leaflet, so allergy sufferers may want to exercise caution.Do they work? Hard to say, everything seems to work for a while with my husband (placebo effect?) and I'm not sure these are supposed to be used long-term.At £7.50 for 50 tablets (as at 3 February 2025) these are reasonable value and may be worth trying.
